I agree. I find new bands I like every week. You just need to make more of an effort because you probably won't find them on the radio
- PhillySportsGuy

I cant be bothered to find new music. It sucks that we don't have a decent rock radio station and there is only one good song on the radio at a time on the pop stations.

I pretty much listen to Say Anything on repeat whenever I'm driving and that's it.

This would be funny and correct IF:

Spanish wasn't the most spoken language in Murica

If that guy's boss was not in France.

I don't think there are that many Mexicans in the United States yet. And once we've got that big ass wall built, we're using cilantro to lure them north to double the population of Canada.

Mark Tremonti is arguably one of the best, if not the best guitarist in contemporary rock.
- Flyers_V88

You don't believe this. If you do believe this... stop believing it. It isn't true.

I'm not saying that to be mean. I'm saying that because if that is really what you classify as best, you're missing so much actual great music.

I'm gonna go ahead and stop you right there. Fine, you think Creed is good in person. I'm not going to agree, but that's your personal opinion. Nickelback isn't widely loathed for no reason. Play any two Nickelback songs at the same time. There's no difference. Christ... there's a Flash app out there that'll sync any two songs of theirs up for you. There's no originality. There's no substance. This is the definition of corporate rock. Like them if you want, but don't pretend that there's no valid reason to hate them.

Is Third Eye a spiritual reference or the song?

Which is why when I hear it, it goes in one ear and out the other. There is no reason for this band to "anger" anyone. They are more popular than they should be because they had one really catchy first single that pretty much everyone liked and than copied it over and over again. So people are angered by that? Sounds more like jealousy to me.

I like cilantro sometimes, but other times, people use too much and it ruins whatever dish or salsa it's used in.

Marianas Trench.

Take a listen to And So It Goes and No Place Like Home.

Vocal heavy...their harmonies are incredible and their music is very reminiscent of Queen with the tempo and time changes and vocals, and 2 of their 3 albums are concept albums.

EDIT: No I don't think they sound like Queen, but their music structure reminds me of them.

You know what? I can agree with you on this. It used to make me mad... but really, what the hell is the point? I can make better music on my own (and have, and have done fairly well on iTunes/Spotify/etc) and not worry that they got lucky once. It doesn't hurt me for other people to like them. Took me a long time to figure that lesson out.

I think you're right about the jealousy in a lot of cases. Bands that suck get lucky fairly often, while truly talented ones go unrecognized. Not too tough to be jealous.

They do sell out a little bit on some songs, but everyone does that. If you like vocals, there's none better out there right now

I love good vocals, its why I sing only 1 or 2 songs per set

The vocals by bands like Queen, Pink Floyd, the Beatles and Yes are a big part of what makes them so timeless IMO

I'm one of those fortunate people to whom cilantro tastes like soap. It's disgusting. I literally have to spit it out.

My bet is July. My bet is that this'll be the last too. I know it isn't a popular view, but I'm ready for them to shed Maynard and be an instrumental group.

PS The best album of the last 10 years is Queens of the Stone Age's ...Like Clockwork. Even my 17 month old baby friggin loves it.

I'm with you. Like soap mixed with some vague citrusy flavor. When I lived in Arizona, it was much easier to eat Mexican food. Real mexican food didn't have it... TexMex or other crappy fake-ass Mexican food always did.
