Lindros was just an awesome player to watch. Great passer, good scorer, good fighter, and devastating body checks on almost every shift. Just a complete package and a force of nature.

If the league was as concerned about concussions and blows to the head back then as they are now, Lindros would have probably have had another 5 years of dominance.

I think he deserves to get in. He was just an iconic player who probably doesn't have a Cup on his resume because the Flyers were so incompetent in addressing their goal tending issues.

He absolutely goes in and belongs in, one of the best ever regarding on-ice performance!!

I'd really like to see anyone find a better power forward during their prime? I mean literally, there hasn't been a player like Eric since Eric... I think that says a lot.

As everyone knows, he was a force that not even Lemieux, Wayne, Crosby, Jagr, etc, could replicate on the ice. Eric had the physical element not seen by many in the sport, including tough guys.

I'm sure he'll get in eventually he was an incredible player, probably will have to wait a little bit for being a colossal douche though

Great article and debate. He was never jagr good. Someone posted he only finished top ten scoring 3 times that's hard to believe. I've always heard he was a huge wiener but who am I to say I wouldn't care either way at least the flyers traded forsberg

Better pull Shanny out of the Hall then, since I'd say sleeping with a teammate's wife shows worse character than a kid spitting beer on some chick. And I highly doubt Shanny is the only HHOFer with a questionable personal history.

The fact that simply being drafted into the NHL, and given a chance to play hockey for millions of dollars a year wasn't enough for him says a lot to me. Think Mario was thrilled to be going to Pittsburgh P.A.? Besides known great players are always drafted to bad teams, and are suppose to be a catalyst to turn things around. He wanted to skip that. If you solely base the decision on his on ice performance its a no brainer, but hockey has always held itself to higher standards. I say find someone else.

The only reason Bure got in before Lindros is because Bure has a better personality and life story.

Both had short careers and both put up amazing numbers per game played. Lindros was far more dominant at his peak, though. At his peak, he was a top 3 player in the world and by far the best all- around hockey player. Still the best power forward the game has ever seen.

I know it seems easy for the Flyers fans to say Yes he should be in the HHOF. That's because they watched him play the most and if you've ever seen some of the things that he did on the ice then you know that all of the off ice issues(drama/injuries) don't really matter when it comes to this particular question.

yes, he belongs. he didnt cheat the game, his questioning of medical protocol is something the league is focusing on now, and in his prime, he was simply a dominant, dominant force. i have far less issues with him in the hall than someone else who simply put up ok numbers forever to get in.

He is the most dominating player I have ever seen when he was at his best.

Please stop. Lindros was a fixture in the local charity scene and constantly visited children's hospitals during his entire time in Philadelphia to little or no fanfare, because that was the way he wanted it.

I know it is easy to live a life making no mistakes like you have. It happens to other people though.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
