Apparently not. Gerrard Gallant was just on the radio talking about how their practices were going to shift to preparation for the Lightning in the first round and that it was locked in at this point.

Detroit has 86 points, with 6 games remaining, giving them a possible 12 more points, giving them 98 points. Tampa Bay and Montreal both have 93. It COULD happen...but it probably wont.

I like Mason, and I'm fine with him, but I'd undo that in a heartbeat if I could.

LeBrun with a nice Mason vs Bob primer:

- Tomahawk

So essentially, it came down to:

Mason, Stolarz, Leier, Gagne (for last season only)
for
Bobrovsky, Leighton, 3rd

Is everyone pretty cool with that so far?

There's one blogger guy, I think Mike Lozo or something that basically beaks off about how bad the Flyers Goaltending is every week.
- Hextall271

Because, as funny as Lozo can be on twitter sometimes, he's not terribly knowledgeable about hockey.

2010 hurt too - they really had very little business being there, but the whole story seemed fated to lead to a Cup only to end in despair. Kind of like when Billy Ray Valentine realizes that he's only there based on a $1 bet.

The image of Kane scoring that goal and jumping around is burned into my head, and probably pops up once every 2 days.

Agreed. I really do think the Bob situation is overblown because it was a Philly goalie that was traded and ended being pretty good.

Not saying Bob is overrated or anything, but I do think the whole situation is kind of dramatized for the sake of further dramatizing Philly goalies

I vividly recall the feeling. My jaw literally hung open for what felt like an eternity.

I feel sad now.

I disagree. The issue with Bob is that it was the inherent drama in Philly goalies that lead to his demise. Making it even further dramatic, comical and inevitable. If the media and organization weren't so (frank)ed about goalies, we'd still have him.

Kane and Toews are supposed to be back by the playoffs
- PhillySportsGuy

And they said if the playoffs started today Toews would play. They were "resting" him. Which is fine, I guess. I think it's a bit of injury and a bit of post-Olympic burnout. Still, I'd want a few games under his feet before the playoffs start.

There was about 20 people at my parents house for the game and I happened to be the only one who saw it go in. I threw my hat at the TV screen and everybody got pissed at me ("Whoa! what are you doing").. until they realized..

I went upstairs, took off all my paraphernalia and got into bed and laid there for what seemed like a very long time.

Good point. Definitely was a clownshow, and they went with Bryz which everyone knows is the wrong decision.

However, I was talking more so about now. How fans and media look at it like it's a sort of detrimental thing to the team. Not saying you are or anyone here but it's definitely out there.

That being said, Mase was stolen from the Jackets which makes things really, really easy to forget IMO

I'm with hammar on this one. Yeah it might have been handled wrong but I'm meh about it at this point and see no reason for some people to berate homer over it

I actually shed a man tear when I heard the let's go flyers chant when the hawks had the Cup.

Went to my room and threw my undershirt at my wall
