Montreal and Tampa are currently the only locked in playoff match up.

Did you know...

If the Flyers lose their next Stanley Cup finals they'll have set the record for most appearances in a row without winning a Cup?

- mayorofangrytown

Imagine how smug we'd be if they only won half of them

80 and 87 were theirs. even 10 could have been. so, so bitter.

You don't think they skated off the ice feeling like they lost? They may talk about getting a point and playing the Blues to a stand still but the team felt both of those last two losses as losses.
- mayorofangrytown

Its a strange feeling. If they had coin flips to determine the winner instead of a shootout, the team would probably feel the same way.

1980 - I think yes should have been Philly's but 1987 was a miracle it unfolded the way it did IMO. 2010 - bad bounces on the road in Chicago and that game 6 was tough and LOL 1997 was just for shame.

New subject: Rank the top 15 teams in the league. I'm not going just by their records but also who is playing the best right now.

1. Boston
2. St. Louis
3. Anaheim
4. Los Angeles
5. San Jose
6. Colorado
7. Montreal
8. Philadelphia
9. Tampa
10. New York Rangers
11. Detroit
12. Chicago
13. Pittsburgh
14. Dallas
15. Columbus

Lately, I think Boston is in a class by itself. 2-5 are the next tier, then 6-11. Chicago at 12 is where they are because they won't be able to go far without Toews/Kane.

Pittsburgh -- I wouldn't have Fleury in the net, if it was me. But even without Malkin and Letang, they still have enough to win a couple of rounds.

This is impossible. I've been lead to believe that Mason is terrible.

I mean, writers with twitter accounts who have watched 5 minutes of Flyers hockey this year have told me so.

- johndewar

There's one blogger guy, I think Mike Lozo or something that basically beaks off about how bad the Flyers Goaltending is every week.

Apparently not. Gerrard Gallant was just on the radio talking about how their practices were going to shift to preparation for the Lightning in the first round and that it was locked in at this point.

sure 87 was a miracle, but that was a talented team. they were inches away from another goal in the first period. they could have won that game. they were good enough to win in 10 also. 76, 85, and 97 i concede (and 76 were all 1 goal losses except for game 4 without bernie).

anyway, enough of that road. i've been down it more times than charlie sheen's been on crack. the next time they reach the finals, they are going to win. i just know they will.

I know that, but I kinda need to see it -- Kane, I might believe. But Toews...I don't know. That might just be brave talk, trying to make people think that shoulder isn't as bad as it is.

If we won in 80 and 87 I'd be pretty happy. I think those hurt the worst.

I'm predicting a Boston - St. Louis final

Boston in 6

I still don't see the blues navigating the west with their scoring issues. I like ducks or kings

The Ducks are really dangerous right now...I'd take them over St. Louis, at the moment, as well.
