If the Phillies didn't win in '08, I'm not sure if Id have any faith in Philadelphia ever winning.

I actually have the regiment roster that my relatives served in for the Civil War framed on my wall.

Yeah. I was living in the city when they won. It was chaos that night. I went to broad street and people were setting off fireworks in the middle of the street. They were bouncing off buildings and poop. We left after my friend got hit with a broken beer bottle in the face and began to bleed. We thought it was best to leave at that point.

The next day was the greatest though. Everyone was in such a good mood. I was in school and the professors just gave us the day off because more than half the class didn't come in. The cab drivers were all very nice and friendly. They'd let everyone cross in front of them. It was a great time.

I was one of the only ones of my friends living in the city at the time. I must have had 15 people sleep at my apartment the night before the parade.

I feel like I got the full experience of the championship by living in the city when it happened.

I missed the parade. My friend's father passed away 3 days before, and the memorial was the day of the parade. By the time it was over, the trains were already beyond overcrowded.

The trains were insane. I went back to my parents in the suburbs that night and it took us forever to get home. There was no train schedule. They just kept running trains all day and all night. You had to guess where the train was going to stop and hope the door was right in front of you. Otherwise, you stood no chance.

I almost got in a fight with some fat, trashy lady because I stuck my arm out to allow my fiancé, her friend and an 80 year old women to get on in front of me.

It felt like a Zombie apocalypse and the trains were the only way out.

I feel for her. She probably had her heart (and lady bits) broken by Pat Burrell earlier that day.

It's my belief that Pat Burrell had sex with between 96 and 98 percent of the women in the greater Philadelphia region. Every day.

I know most of you guys aren't into hockey cards, but this card...I'm just amazed it was made.

I've got the McCarthy/Lindros/Hextall. How ITG thought putting these 3 on one card was a good idea is beyond me.

I was late to a high school basketball game and got changed really quickly. I was a starter and warmups had just ended, so I ran out of the locker room and onto the floor wearing my gold jersey. The only problem was the rest of the team was wearing blue.

One of my more embarrassing moments. Thankfully, it was a preseason game and they allowed me to go change quickly before opening tip.

He must be playing a really bad team. I've faced pitchers who throw in the 80s.

Me too. I mean, obviously the team wasn't good, but striking out EVERY batter you see is pretty unheard of, regardless of the parity (or lack thereof)
