That's not necessary a bad thing. You can be critical of aspects of a winning team. It's not wrong to point out when you feel the team has made mistakes.

Certainly there's some that belabor it to the point where it just becomes mindless bashing. There's others that defend every move to the hilt as if it's so obviously the right move that it shouldn't even be questioned.

That's why I try to avoid battles after the whole Grossmann thing. It's not worth it to bang heads, it's (frank)ing hockey.

I agree. Its always fair to criticize within reason. Thats why I don't think Hawks fans are in the wrong to criticize the GM.

I'm sure every GM was asking for Teravainen in any trade. It probably made more sense to not make a major move for them. Teravainen hasn't scored, but you can just see the natural skill right away. The guy is going to rack up a lot of points.

Actually, he's playing OF. Dom Brown is DHing.

Oh... That makes it a little better. It's going to be a long baseball season. Hopefully the Flyers have a deep playoff run. September and football season is an eternity away.

Yeah, he looks like he's going to be a dynamite player. Still not sure why he fell in the draft.

Not sure what Bowman could have done to make the Hawks much better over the course of the season, either. They added solid vets and got the other teams to eat money and the moves made by other teams that added veteran rentals were made by teams that had cap room.

Gwynn is only on the team because he's a good defensive OF and hit OK in spring.

But, yeah, the Phillies might be lucky to win 75 games

They got old fast. I think their payroll is around 180 million. Third highest in baseball. They have to rebuild. Getting a nice package for C. Lee would be a good start.

The sad thing is, the Sixers were going to tank all along. They had no illusions that they were gonna suck. Amaro's been beating the "we feel we're contenders" stuff all spring long.

They're counting way too heavily on too many guys in their mid to late 30's, who have worrisome injury histories.

The only good thing is, Amaro might not be the GM who handles the dismantling of the roster, given the trade returns he got for Cliff Lee(when he was traded after the Halladay trade), Hunter Pence(based on what he gave up to acquire him) and Shane Victorino.

I just don't trust Amaro to get value.

I don't either. Maybe if they can stay healthy they can compete. The Mets and Marlins are terrible, Braves rotation is crippled. I don't buy the hype around the Nationals. It's not a great Division.

If they move him to another line at center I'm all for it. Maybe they can try the wing experiment next year. He's so much better at center where Schenn can play either, IMO.

I personally feel that if they aren't going to play Lecavalier at Center, or at the least on the right side, then they should look to move him in the off season. Keeping him as the 4th line Center at 4.5M a year, should not be on the table in my opinion.

Not sure what they have to criticize the GM for. That team is stacked. And the playoffs haven't even started yet.

Amaro is clueless. Plain and simple. I don't trust him even a little bit.

Obviously you could cherry pick this for any team, but I've seen a number of Hawks "fans" on the internet calling their team soft, and criticizing the GM for not making their good team great. Seems awfully entitled/angry to me.
