perfectly done......it would be funnier if it wasn't so obviously biased If it was Lucic instead of Giroux:
THIS IS WHY Milan Lucic is one of the most feared players in the league! Nobody in the NHL has the size, strength and skill combo like he has now- tough as nails and look at this play! That's a real special player there to be 6'3 230 and be able to nimbly contort himself just to even get a shot off there! Absolutely special and this is why the Bruins say he deserves so much more credit than he gets now!
If it was Bergeron instead of Giroux:
We've seen it time and time again Patrice Bergeron #37 in white in the middle of things and here we see just another fantastic play by him look at his great reflexes here! That play is so hard to make just to get a stick on it let alone direct it toward the net! Here's a guy many people don't have as a finalist for the Hart- we all know about his incredible defensive game, but this is a part of his game that lots of people overlook. Truly a tremendous player!
What it actually was; that is, Giroux took the shot:
-Pierre: And Doc look at this fantastic save by Tuukka Rask right here he just flies over to the other end of the net- what a powerful, quick goaltender! There's really nothing bad you can say about this guy...one of the game's best goalies and one of the game's best off the ice- he'll talk to anyone anytime! Great save there Doc.
-Doc: Really just a wonder Giroux made anything out of that situation, eh Pierre?
-Pierre: Yeah he was a little off balance but Rask wasn't letting anything by him right there! - Giroux_Is_God

Not watching
Is it refs fault, ices fault, or schedules fault? - Just5
game has its ebbs and flows
refs called 0 penalties in the first it seemed then went whistle crazy in the 2nd
bruins took over the 2nd period
mase let a soft short side goal get by him, but has been largely very good
I think Mase should have poke checked Chara on the PP goal, but I will defer to other goalies, not sure if possible

This game is going to come down to puck battles. Too many times in the 2nd period the Flyers were outnumbered on the puck. Mason needs to come up big in the 3rd, and make up for the bad goal. |

Exactly -- it's tough; it's not like Chara's not going to the Hall of Fame, you know?
Sometimes, guys like that are gonna make plays -- I honestly don't have a problem with that goal. Chara's effing good, and he showed it

From the way it sounds on radio. Mason already has. But bundy killed mason for those goals. |

it's always a gamble, and i don't blame mason for holding tight there. chara had too much time and space, and the 400' long stick he has made all the difference there. only way that wasn't going in is mason had been able to push out and get closer to the shot. he was deep, for good reason, and had little chance on that - went off the post and in. and inch to the right, and it stays out. kimmo gave him too much room.

no doubt, but how frustrating is it that no matter who is in goal for us they have to let in some franking horsepoop goal? |

While I agree with this, I don't think its just completely due to personality.
Look at how NBC markets the games. They shove "star" players down our throats, and every broadcast we get to hear about Chicago and Pittsburgh.
Its marketing, and I think its pretty obvious they tell him to focus on certain things. NBC has more marketing, and advertising than any NHL broadcast I've seen. Don't really respect a crew like that, its obviously just about $. |

The first period the Flyers were winning a lot of those battles
2nd period not so much |

especially in the bruins end. 3 bruins to 1 flyer on almost every battle on the wall. needs to stop. |

These NBC broadcasts really remind me of the NFL.
Everything is "brought to you by", and showing useless parts of the game just to get an advertisement in. |
