i want it more than you.

I think its there for them. I think its been fairly even. I wish Mason could have gotten that last one. As a goalie, you know those sneaky shots along the ice can be tricky. Especially when the goalie isn't expecting it.

no. pierre said "he was a little off balance." then doc said "remarkable" then pierre quietly agreed.
- hammarby31

pierre also gave full props to the int report crew for talking about bergeron as mvp......they were talking about giroux as well but he forgot that part

I'll be changing the channel, but I thought the "home team" is supposed to get more coverage.

Ohh well.

I'm serious. When the Flyers are playing on top of their games they have that wide eyed I'm going to smash your face look in their eyes.

Giroux looks like he's ready for a nap. Simmonds looks bored.

Vinny looks intense. However, I think he always looks like that. 1/3 of our shots are from Vinny alone. 9/21 shots from the 4th line.

I think you're reaching a little bit. not like their rolling over on the ice and they are on the bench eating hotdogs and buying 50/50 tickets.

ok, we get it. stop knob gobbling the bruins for (frank)'s sake. you'd think they're the greatest team ever assembled listening to these guys.

Was talking about the look in their eyes only. Nothing regarding their on ice performance.

sensationally irritating period. no flow. at all. whistles every 10 seconds. phantom penlties. garbage goal. then back to the mugging with no penalties. bruins getting away with murder.

you don't want to know about how good of a leader chara is because he got blasted and then followed hartnell around without taking a penalty? and then made a nifty move by switching to skating backwards before playing a puck with absolutely no pressure?

I think we get one more goal -- the first line is going, and Couturier's line is keeping it even

The second line, no matter who is on it, has to help, and the defense has to keep this thing tight

It's a tall order -- you'd like to not have the soft goal be the reason you're down

But we are, and hopefully we can find a goal and get at least a point

Remarkable that Giroux made anything out of that.

So...MVP?

- tangent_man

If it was Lucic instead of Giroux:

THIS IS WHY Milan Lucic is one of the most feared players in the league! Nobody in the NHL has the size, strength and skill combo like he has now- tough as nails and look at this play! That's a real special player there to be 6'3 230 and be able to nimbly contort himself just to even get a shot off there! Absolutely special and this is why the Bruins say he deserves so much more credit than he gets now!

If it was Bergeron instead of Giroux:

We've seen it time and time again Patrice Bergeron #37 in white in the middle of things and here we see just another fantastic play by him look at his great reflexes here! That play is so hard to make just to get a stick on it let alone direct it toward the net! Here's a guy many people don't have as a finalist for the Hart- we all know about his incredible defensive game, but this is a part of his game that lots of people overlook. Truly a tremendous player!

What it actually was; that is, Giroux took the shot:

-Pierre: And Doc look at this fantastic save by Tuukka Rask right here he just flies over to the other end of the net- what a powerful, quick goaltender! There's really nothing bad you can say about this guy...one of the game's best goalies and one of the game's best off the ice- he'll talk to anyone anytime! Great save there Doc.

-Doc: Really just a wonder Giroux made anything out of that situation, eh Pierre?

-Pierre: Yeah he was a little off balance but Rask wasn't letting anything by him right there!

Final score Bruins 5, Flyers 3. I just hope nobody gets hurt (worse than they already are).

.....or this could be that third period where they just explode like they did earlier this year in a game that had a similar feel.....was that the sharks game before the break?? i don't remember

not a good goal. he'd want that back, but yes, those plays can be tricky. he wasn't expecting it. i'm sure he thought a pass was coming or that he'd circle out more toward the middle.

as i said before, as soon as i saw the puck continue on it's path after being blocked by giroux, i knew that shift was going to end badly. i just get bad feelings when i see little things go the wrong way. i hate being right sometimes.

they can come back and win this. only a goal down. need more at the net. they really got stifled that period.

Refs haven't been good, TBH -- and I try like hell to not blame them

But there was a call on Hartnell while the Flyers were on the PP that was just...it just wasn't NHL quality, and it is sad

I still think they can get back in this thing. They've generated chances and the Bruins are on the second half of a back to back. Just keep plugging away.
