He was shooting at a 30% clip early on. Regression set in. - bradleyc4
I don't call going from a unrealistic shooting percentage to a more normal shooting percentage, a regression. |

Despite shopping him and finding interest, Eagles have made decision to cut WR DeSean Jackson. Outright. Jackson is now a free agent. - PLindbergh31

That's just odd. Doesn't seem like good business, either. Not that I give a poop about the Iggles. |

But it impacts Vinny's performance? - wolfhounds
Yes, playing Lecavalier on the left side has affected his performance, clearly. |

Yup. Vinny is stud at center. Thats the only thing holding him back from being a legit top 6 player. His defensive miscues won't be exacerbated by playing a position that requires more all around play. - PhillySportsGuy
He's no worse defensively then Schenn is. And again, Schenn's defensive miscues are just ignored. While Lecavalier's are amplified and exaggerated. |

I don't understand how his entire career as a successful player can be ignored, while also ignoring his effective play as a Center before the injury this Season. - MJL
I have these things called eyes. I can close them, but I choose to watch the games. I don't understand why you think he's going to go from awful LW to above average C. He may be more effective at center than LW, but he's not more effective than Schenn at center. That my opinion. I know you differ, but the coaches seem to agree with me. Its over. |

If Vinny looks like his old self playing 4th line center tonight, Chief will have a tough decision to make.
No matter how you cut it, he's putting VL back at C, now it's up to VL to rise to the challenge and perform, or not. - wolfhounds
I agree. Lecavalier needs to play his way back up. |

Neither are defensive stalwarts by any stretch, same goes with Simmonds, but Vinny apparently is worse than Schenn based upon +/-. How else is this being judged?
And if moving Vinny to wing messes him up, the same can be said for Schenn, right? |

Look at the numbers for once. Schenn is +1 and Vinny is -16. Thats a huge difference for guys that play together a lot. |

What are realistic expectations for Lecavalier centering Hall, and Rinaldo? That line isn't going to create any offense, and other than Hall it has a chance to be a defensive liability.
I think moving Lecavalier to the 4th line probably has a lot to do with getting Raffl more ice time. |

There seems to be a fundamental element of confusion here. I see the same thing. I see an ineffective Lecavalier who has not played well since coming back from the injury. But to just ignore that he's a proven player, and was a quality player at Center before the injury, is foolish.
And you've given me numbers when it comes to looking at Lecavalier as a Winger, but don't want to look at the numbers with Schenn at Center. And show me how he's not more effective then Schenn at Center. |

That's the best we can hope for. I know we're all hoping he comes out and kicks ass. If Vinny gets it going, this team becomes that much more dangerous. |

Schenn is 22, with fewer than 200 games under his belt. Vinny is a 15-year vet, playing like a 3rd year player defensively. |
