Ive always advocated this. Use jake as the distributor on the second unit.

My thoughts too. The only downside I see with Vinny on the 1st is that Timonen (or perhaps Giroux) will be the only one able to prevent SH opportunities.

How the (frank) do you not cover the (frank)ing wingers on that play?

WTF was Timonen thinking? What could he POSSIBLY have been thinking?

Ive thought the same thing. It would have been something I would have tried earlier in the year though

Lack of focus -- they're trying to win this game without working, without grinding

They keep this up...damn it.

basically the two biggest games of the last segment in terms of a statement game at msg and then a needed win on home ice against a team on a 6 game skid and this is the effort you get.....

Shocking thing is that it's the Coots line and 5/44 that are looking the worst out there... G line looks bad, too.

We rely way too much on the power play. This is 3 straight games they've been pretty lousy 5v5.

And I HATE the effort angle -- hate it.

But it's so obvious that they're not interested in hitting, or getting hit, or grinding, and I hate to see this

Man. If they eff around and lose tonight -- all the work they put in to build that cushion will be gone, and they will have given the Leafs every reason to believe that they can still make it

This is their MO though. Win the games they shouldn't, lose the games they should win.

Is the game expected to be a heavy hitting game with blood being spilled? Game winds up being a love fest all over the ice with a bunch of hippies.

They need to be the under dog. They need to be trailing in a game. They need all of that to get motivated enough to play lights out. It's really bizarre.

I didn't think it was possible, but NHL.com has gotten worse.
