I'll say this: I don't love how they're playing right now

The Leafs are really susceptible to a hard, gritty, grinding game down low and along the boards

Yes, they'll let you have the zone too easily and yes, it becomes really easy to want to trade chances with them, but you don't want to trade chances with this team because they lull you into run-and-gun

I agree. Tighten up defensively, and make it a game where the Leafs play in their own end all game, and bury them. Too much free skating room up and down the ice.

But I would've taken the picks or made a deal...that's just me

Vinny should stay on the 1st-unit and never leave that right FO circle... and the Schenn line is playing at a much quicker pace w/o Vinny (especially evident in that first rush up the ice).

Lecavalier is playing with plenty of jump and was one of the better forwards on the ice. Put him in the right position, and he's still a good player.
