I think this lineup change actually gives us a pretty formidable 4th line. It is expensive, but whatever. If this sticks for the rest of the season does it mean Lecavalier wants out by the end of the season? I mean, if he doesn't want out already since he can't play C.

Well your putting a less effective player in vinny on that line instead of raffl. And vinny is reportedly unhappy. Could be bad

Maybe. Maybe it lights a fire under him and he earns his way back up.

Just played Someone Saved My Life Tonight on the piano so this is kind of a strange/frightening coincidence

I would not move a young player who has been a center for the bigger part of his career away from that position in favor of an older player unless there was a drastic change in production by both players with that move. I have nothing against Vinny as a player, but he just reminds me of the bad Leino way too much. He'll put up points, but he just looks lost out there, and once the going gets tough, he seems to go into a shell.

That's not too surprising -- I mean, not only was it obvious to everybody that it just wasn't working, it was frightening at how few scoring chances there were against tougher competition. It was hard not to notice.

Vinny needs to get it going -- I don't dispute that. No one does.

I think it'll last longer than a period or two, though -- they need points, now. If the second line even looks dangerous, let alone pops one...I think it could stick for a bit.

I'd like to see a snapshot of the WOWy's before the injury.

How exactly has Lecavalier been a "prima donna"?

Below are Lecavalier's comments when asked about the demotion.

Asked for his thoughts on the move, Lecavalier repeated only that he “will be ready” against the Maple Leafs.

“[Rinaldo] and Hallsy, they work really hard and I’ll do the same,” he said. “We’ll work together to make sure we have a very solid game.”

Sure sounds like a prima donna to me.

No, but apparently WOWY's are needed in order to know that Lecavalier hasn't been playing well.

I for one would have taken Gagne over Vinny in a heart beat. But what do I know?

To play on the 4th line, I wouldn't have taken either.

me either. but I think a healthy (important) Gagne would have given the Flyers the third line they have been looking for, while not forcing any out-of-position issues. it's all irrelevant, just my personal opinion.

Well after today it might be 2 years before I talk to you guys again. Hope everyone is happy. All I know is, I wouldn't have done the same thing to you guys. It really upsets me, cause I really liked coming in here and talking with you guys. Go Flyers.

Honestly, I would not have guessed that Gagne would've been out of the League the entire Season.
