I told you guys hes a top 5 defender in the league. You guys didnt believe it. - rangerdanger94
I think most of knew he was good. Whether or not top 5 is accurate, he's solid. |

So you are ok with those 2 slashes?
Cmon man, take off the blinders, those were 2 cheap slashes, many of your brothers in Orange agreed. |

But would you be here TODAY and LAST NIGHT if the Rangers had lost? - PhillySportsGuy
if Simmonds had slashed McDonagh twice with no time left and the Flyers won, yeah, I'd still be here talking about how much of a doosh he is, sure. |

They. Didn't play well as bill stated...terrible puck control and again another stupid penalty by rinaldo. That said bad penalties and all downy being out hurts both the 3rd and forth line. McGinn is terrible and while most think downy is easily replaced, the. Things he does well really make a difference. |

Well being that the Rangers never lose to the Flyers at MSG its a moot point. |

I don't think Downie is easily replaceable with this current roster. I think they can replace him with a FA this summer though. A guy who does things similar to him, but doesn't take bad penalties or a good 4th liner in order to move Raffl up. |

The game last night has zero to do with McDonagh being a top 5 defender in the League. Every Flyers fan is aware of how good of a player McDonagh is, and what he is capable of. You warned us, as if we were unaware that McDonagh is a very good player, and is having a very good year? |

well racist comments are always out of line, but hopefully when he speaks to Shanahan today about attempting to injure McDonagh he only hears the word suspension. - jimbro83
Missed the play but my comment was regarding the racism not any on ice incident. |

I watch the Penguins parade the cup around, as well as the Blackhawks. I will turn my television off if Lundqvist wins. |

I don't think Downie has been doing the things he's supposed to do well. Actually, I think the opposite: his linemates had been carrying him for awhile rather than him creating space for them. But Raffl is better on line 4 -- or, I thought, also line 2 as a two-way presence when some combos got juggled.

You guys do realize that slashes like that happen throughout every game. I don't understand this outrage. He didn't take a swing at McDonagh's face. The Slash looked worse because McDonagh dropped his glove.

I'd be pissed about it as well, but I'm also aware very little happens in a vacuum and what everybody focuses on is often preceded by something we missed. |

If the Flyers make the playoffs, and based on their remaining schedule that is in question, what makes anyone think they can beat the Rags in a series, while likely not having home ice advantage? Every game at MSG looks like a carbon copy of the game before. - PLindbergh31
Because they are capable of beating the Rangers at MSG. |

I think the Rangers and Flyers fans actually have a pretty decent relationship on this site. We don't get many Flyers trolls, and the guys that do drop by are cool posters. I dislike the Flyers, but I actually respect the fanbase (at least the majority of the hockeybuzz fanbase).
But, I hate the Simmonds play last night. I hate stick work like that, because it has the potential to take players out long-term, and if the league doesn't police it, then the players will be left to do so themselves. |
