One of my friend's parents had a car accident a week ago because of a stupid female genitalia that has put her summer tires on too early. They tried to avoid her but she was totally out of control. My friend's mom has a broken leg and his dad managed to get out with only cracked ribs.

Apparently that idiot driver was constantly reminding the policemen that she had the right to have her summer tires on because it was after March 15.

They should change the law and put the date to April 1st, for stupid idiots like that.

What's the rush? When you see that winter lingers, you wait. It's a question of judgment. Some people have none.

I agree completely.

Like most laws, this one is to protect us from idiots... and clearly march 15th is way too soon to change your tires.

It happens what.... once every 20 years that we get absolutely no snow past March 15th?

Quand tu vois que l'hiver s'étire...t'attends un peu. Moi aussi je le trouve laid mon char pas de mags...mais bon.

I never put them on until April anyway

- stinger67

I do 6000Km MAX a year with my car. I keep the winter tires on year round.

Yes there's more wear during the summer... but at the end of the cycle, it still cost me less to keep them on instead of changing them.

I also never get (frank)ed by snow.

Les gens ne veulent pas user leur pneus d'hiver non plus. Je les comprends, mais en ce moment, c'est loin d'être rationnel d'avoir des pneus d'été. C'est plus dangereux qu'autre chose

I'd say it's more frequent then that.

Last 2 years we had some late storms but I remember the years before that had very early springs.

yeah, 6000 is really not a lot.

I do around 20 000 per year. My winter tires are high performance summer tires, I'd be totally (frank)ed in the snow
