Who knows what would have been drafted that 2nd year? Would Hamilton have been a guarantee? How can you even tell that? What if he traded that pick away in another deal? Would that be the next tangent on ifs and buts that is brought up?
- weirdoh

Yup it was a bad trade in hindsight, but we can't always dwell on it because it will do the team no good. Every team or at least most have bad trades like that in their history, just look at this season and the Islanders are going to finish bottom 5 and probably give up their top-5 pick because they traded Moulson, a 1st, a 2nd and 5th for Collberg and a 2nd.

And besides we can talk about Kessel and Seguin being 4th and 5th in point and remember that the Bruins traded both of them, but they won a cup a few years ago and look good again this season so we won't.

But seriously.. fire Randy.

Can't believe how bad they play.. no system.. no cohesion... bad lines and bad matchups

He's not helping the matters. I had a dream Gilmour was hired as coach. I wouldn't want him to tarnish his rep by taking this poop job. It's like when they brought in George Armstrong to coach a complete cluster(frank) of a team.

Burke thought they were closer to contending than they were rebuilding. They got a young 20s sniper who has put up consistently good numbers. It's not hard to see why it can be viewed as a positive. They never expected the picks to be as high as they were.

It was a poopty trade, they gave up too much, but its justifiable in burkes twisted reality.

Offer sheet would've been cheaper. lol

Probably will trade him in a trade where Holmgren will be caught with his pants down.

While I agree Randy should go, just remember how long it took to can Wilson, ergo, Randy keeps his job.

Idiotic but reality.

Tampa.

Games in hand.

Then again... if MTL can win that game on the road against them, they could very well finish 2nd

Pipe dream... Edmonton wanted Clarkson so bad in the summer, I wonder if they'd take him for a bag of pucks.

Habs are bound to lose a couple of games.

No worries.

They have surpassed my expectations this season.

They would have to ship you guys a bad contract in return.

Clarkson in a good system wouldn't be so bad.

You and me both. If someone not named 23 would have said that they would have 91 points with 7 games to go, he would have been tarred and feathered.

Both top pairing (Petry and Ference) in Edmonton are in NHL top 10 in give aways. Maybe you can still gift them Phaneuf instead? lol
