Markov was excellent last night (again).

That giveaway by Subban was ridiculous.

Let me lob a wrister right through the middle of my zone, with 3 Wings standing at the blue line. Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do.

HE's not a banger... he's no Clarkson...

Does Vanek play a big game ? Nope.

If this team can sign Vanek, Moulson or any other forward taller than Briere, MB will be doing something right.

- WaterBoy

Actually, Vanek has been playing a big game. That's my point. He certainly played big last night.

depends how you define big game. does he go into the corners and obliterate people? no. is he ornery and aggressive? no. but does he use his size and strength to control the puck and get his ass in the paint? yes. you don't have to play like Milan Lucic to use your size effectively.

And I'm quite sure Moulson uses his size the same way.

seems like he really cannot balance high quality offence and high quality defence, unfortunately. it's usually one or the other.

Of course Vanek > Moulson.

My point since the beggining is that Moulson would be a good fit if/when Vanek decides to not play for MTL.

Moulson's a scoring winger that would make the Habs top 6 bigger and he would come at a cheaper price/better contract than Vanek.

Moulson is making a good impression in Minnesota. Maybe they'll want to sign him at a cheaper price than Vanek.

And they would probably do that for the same reasons I'd like to see the Habs get Moulson.
