I haven't seen many of his interviews etc., but the few I did involved excuses, mumbles and 'uh' s. I'm not a huge fan of Gionta and think he's one of the worst Cs the Habs have had in a while but he's quick to stick up for his team mates and to praise them.

he's similar to Koivu as a captain imo. undersized player who always punched above their weight and led by example. not a great captain but not a bad one.
