What do you think of Pittsburgh's training staff?
- MJL

I think they have knots on their chrome domes from pucks ricocheting of their melons over the weekend.

maybe what his thoughts are on how the kings season is going and nothing to do with anything flyers related?
- hammarby31

There are guys that would, but do you honestly think that the Tims and Sams are going to ask those questions?

So no one has touched on the lineup yet. McGinn playing 4th line while raffl moves up to the 3rd line. Anyone else nervous again about the 4th line?
- PhillySportsGuy

Sounds like Berube is leaving Raffl at 4C.

Sam Carchidi ‏@BroadStBull 2h

McGinn or Rinaldo on third line tonight for Downie, Berube said. He likes Raffl at C on 4th line.

I think both Raffl and McGinn will float around, just like Raffl and Downie did. Berube isn't afraid to mix things up from time to time, and so far it's worked out pretty good. McGinn just needs to play a simple game and not take any penalties.

Then, if that's what they want, they should talk to Kopitar or Doughty.

I doubt all those Philadelphia based reporters (20 of them if reports are to be believed) were there to talk about how great Jonathan Quick is.

It was a big deal. He went to Germany to have Orthokine injections in his knees and it didnt have a positive effect. He was expected to be back in October but his return kept getting pushed further back. Finally they sought outside interpretation and thats when his season officially ended. Big issue.

So with Noel they are playing it safe.

There really is no positive outcome of him playing this season.

I knew about the issues with Bynum. I didn't realize the sixers switched medical staffs because of it

Ok. That's what I thought would happen. Late in the game they'll go to 3 lines and use raffl on the 3rd line

I think he may work well with read and couts. I just hope he can keep up defensively. Getting offense from that line would be great but they're out there to shut down kopitar more than anything

We have deciphered the PLind formula

Let X equal the acceptable number of years to sign him, where X = contract years - 1

We really don't have a spot for Richards I don't think with the centers we currently have in the mix and he has not been very good this year at all.
- Daceroni

He's outscored Couturier, Schenn and Read

That's that TV show where the guy has to get back to his own time, right?

"But PLind, you won't be able to leap back until you convince MJL it's a bad contract!"

"Well poop."

Exactly -- Bob Clarke was totally correct when he called Panaccio an a-hole, too.

The last Philly media who had any sort of clue when it came to hockey were Bowen and Moran. Painful what there is now. Just effing painful

- AllInForFlyers

Moran was an idiot, too. Bowen was good. I miss him on the NHL beat.

Technically Schenn has out scored him. Both have 40 points, but Schenn has played 1 less game.

If I could do those exact trades all over again.. I would in a heartbeat.

Not saying I wouldn't. Richards has been solid for the Kings, even this year in his "down year". I'd still do the trades in a heartbeat.

What I was saying is, that if the Kings decided that a long term, $5.7mm commitment to a third line center is too much for them and decide to use a CBO on Richards, I'd have interest, depending on cost and length of term

Where would you play him? 4C?

I don't think he'd ever want to come back and play here anyway.
