Basketball is terrible.

The streak was 25-0-10. I went to pretty much every home game that year, but man that was a long time and a lot of scotches ago. I don't think they ever actually won more than 8 or 9 in a row at any point that year.

i went to one home game that year. my first nhl game ever. it's why i am a flyers fan.i was 7 years old. march 24, 1980, coincidentally which is exactly 34 years ago to the day. remember the opponent? the score? no? i do.

flyers 2 - islanders 5. one of only TWO home losses the entire season. yep. 36-2-2. and yours truly was at one of two losses out of 40 games. thanks, phil myre.

That's amazing going 35 games without a loss. A winning streak of 3 to end the season would have been nice.

I'm not in love with the NBA version of the game or of "ZOMG11!! DUNKZ!!", but I'm one of those weirdos that likes basketball AND hockey.

Parker is a polished offensive player. He can come in and score 20 points per game on a bad team right now. He's got great size, draws a ton of fouls and has good court awareness. He's pretty smart and his teammates seem to like him. He needs to improve his defense and he doesn't have what you'd call elite athleticism, but he's still pretty quick.

Wiggins is an explosive athlete but very raw. He's already a very good defensive player, but lacks the overall basketball skill on offense to be an immediate impact player within his first couple years. He has a very high potential because the things he doesn't do really well are teachable. Things like ball handling and improving his jump shot can be taught. He's not a bad ball handler or shooter. He's just not exceptional in those areas yet.

Embiid is a skilled big man. If not for his back issues (I believe he suffered the same back injury as Vinny), he would be the #1 pick. He has decent range and some decent moves down low. He models his game after Hakeem and you can immediately see the resemblance. He's a good defender and a good shot blocker. He's very thin and will need to bulk up. If healthy, he can be an absolute stud big man.

The cap has been in effect since 2005. With the exception of artifically lowering the Cap coming out of the last lockout, what has happened every year? Seems like a pretty accurate prognostication to me.
