So on the scoreboard tonight...
StL/Toronto - Things are not looking good for he Leafs are they?
LA/Was - My only question is will Quick go back to back, they are 8 points up on Phoenix, pretty comfortable, I can see them sitting Quick which doesn't help us
Det/Colum - Who do we pull for? Either way you get some help, just no 3 point game
Not going to include the Montreal game, I think they get in with a 7 point lead on Detroit and Toronto |

Detroit-Columbus, have to pick the team with less points I think. I see Detroit as being the team that can win more games in the last little stretch here. |

I don't know how they've pulled it together the way they have without both of their best players. Its been a breakout period for a kid like Nyquist, they just keep producing these guys. Columbus, everyone's darling may crash out very quickly here. Losers of 3 of 4 and tonight is going to be tough |

Yup, Detroit is just one of those teams that no matter what happens, they are always in the thick of things. That's why I would root for the Jackets tonight. Detroit is a scarier team, nevermind if they get Datsyuk & Zetterberg back.

I think we have to root against the team's in our division when it comes down to it, so I definitely want to detroit to win in regulation. |

I thought kreider played a physical game last night and was engaged throughout but I just saw he only played 10 minutes last night. What's up with that? Av's doghouse? Is he coming down with the flu also? |

The coaching staff doesn't trust him defensivley, plus he doesn't play special teams anymore. In close games he won't see many minutes. |

He was, that was the one thing that annoyed me last night. He made 1 mistake, but actually busted his ass to break up the play, unfortunately it went in his own net. I didn't see that as a benchable offense. He was skating & playing hard all night. |

top 3 teams in each division make it, then two wild card teams from the conference
division winners play the wild cards, teams 2 and 3 in each division play each other
right now, it is very likely first round Flyers vs Rangers, and I am gonna lose it |

Flyers Rangers happened all the time in the 80's, it was part of the springtime
it's about time for another one |

It was an unlucky deflection and like u said he hustled his way to get back. I don't get y they don't trust him i don't view him as a defensive liability. Msl with the flu got more time than kreider. I don't get it.
Kreider had the 2nd least ice time behind stepan. I noticed kreider almost every shift. |

Unfortunately I don't remember much of the early to mid 80's, I was to young. Didn't really start following hockey religiously till the late 80's. I do remember the 95 & 97 series |

Unprecedented in the world of hockeybuzz...both boards are going to be ugly. Two moderators/board minimum |

Yeah, he was probably the player with the most energy for the 1st period and a half, till the rest of the team got their legs going. I dont think he is as much as a liability defensively as people seem to think. Does he need to work a little more on his coverage and positioning, sure. But he also can cover his mistakes with his speed, probably more so than any other forward. |

I remember those series early to mid 80's. Battles, my favorite memory is winning Game 5 in Philly in 86. Beezer was ridiculous, but in the playoff meetings since, the Flyers have had our number. I don't think the Rangers have had home ice against the Flyers since the 70's, it may or may not happen. I know the Rangers have been good on the road but I still want Game 7 at home. Winning Game 7 on the road has still only happened one time and that was last season, so finishing 2nd is important in my opinion. Would also mean they go into the playoffs on fire |

my favorite memory is the 1983 series, Rangers won 3 games to 1. Eliminated them at MSG in a 9-3 trouncing. The smurf era. Flyers wore pants.

Going back to look it all up, 82, 83, 85, 85, 86, 87....they split those series. Over all the Flyers are 6-4 the difference right now being the 95 and 97 wins. Both of those we were female dog slapped. I remember the 97 series we had crazy injuries |

I vaguely remember the 86 playoffs. Wish I was tuned into Hockey when I was younger, but all we did as kids was play baseball & football growing up. In the early 80's I was 7, so I doubt I would have remembered anyway.
As for the home ice advantage, I get what you are saying, but cant deny our success on the road. Best in the NHL |

They will dig that one out of the vault once the series begins, if it begins, don't want to put the horse in front of the cart just yet. We might still play Columbus
Edit...Strike that, reverse it |

I forgot all about those pants. The Whalers used them for a season or two. Those were hideous looking |
