It'd be nice but if he wants to stay an extra year that's fine

So is Vasiliev-Hagg-Alt-Manning-Lauridsen-Konan a really good AHL D corp, or is it just my orange tinted glasses?

Washington can smell it now -- they've been playing really well.

Thought there was something wrong with them; turns out it was the goaltending all along. Halak really stabilized them

The age thing only applies to CHLers. If a kid never played in the CHL, he can play in the AHL at age 18

Jesus between that and this European goalie ban, the CHL really seems to have a stick shoved very far into their ass

I believe its 18, as long as you aren't coming from the CHL. If you're from the CHL I believe it's 20. From what I understand Vasiliev is shaping up to be a lot like Alexei Emelin

CHL is a for profit league. They're still the biggest pipeline to the NHL. It's the same for the NCAA trying to keep college athletes to stay for at least 2 or 3 years.

i was asking in reference to pouliot. im not as big on the juniors as some in here, but isnt the WHL considered part of the CHL?

Yes. Pouliot would have to be age 20 to play for Wilkes Barre-Scranton.

The CHL is made up of the WHL, OHL & QMJHL.

I just played in the Baby Pens' new facility. Got to see the locker rooms and everything. Ice was beautiful and so were the rooms.

It's just so cool to see that stuff. They have this little sitting area with couches and a mini kitchen with cereal and poop, a sauna, whirlpools, a huge flatscreen tv in the locker room...and everything's connected. No doors. Really cool...they even had a stack a foot high worth of disposable razors for the guys in the bathroom. Not to mention the weight room.

I wish I was that good to just have all that stuff given to me. And they're not even in the NHL!

Place is really nice- pretty new. Best ice I've been on by far.

He's eligible next season, for sure. They also lose the ability to "slide" the contract next year...which means you have to count it vs the 50 contract limit.
