This is a good move for Hagg to develop his game in North America. I have to believe he will be on the top pairing and play in all situations. He would have to really bomb the rest of this year and training camp next year not to start in the AHL.

I suggested put him with a CHL team but that was as a suggestion if they wanted to slide his ELC

You think Mcginn will be on the 4th line? I hope they put him on the 3rd line and keep rolling these lines. Flyers are really expanding a lot of energy in these games and they need to be consistently rolling these lines to spread the minutes. I think Cooter and Read can make up for Mcginns shortcomings in his own zone. And I really dont want that 4th line touched. They can also doubleshift Raffl at times onto the 3rd line to cut into Mcginns minutes. Not a big problem

What you just wrote is totally fine by me -- as long as they play the lines roughly the same amount of minutes they have been so Giroux doesn't get overworked, I honestly don't mind if McGinn is on the third or fourth

Welcome to the Phantoms Hagg! Finally some bonafide young prospects to watch on the phantoms. Whats it been 10 years since Richards/Carter?

Love the prospect depth they are building, never thought I'd say they now have more of them on defence that at forward or goalie.

Gotta keep adding to this, it will prove to be a major benefit for this team.

Agreed -- if they find a legit scoring forward in this draft, I'll be pretty ecstatic.

Obviously, they don't need that player now. But they need to be careful with Scott Hartnell, make sure he is allowed to age gracefully

Man...JVR is a good player, and he's done good things with Toronto

But he is still frustrating to watch. They're down 3-1, on the road, in a freefall, and he gets the puck in the slot off a turnover.

Instead of firing it and just making sure he gets it on net, he tries to pick a corner, misses the net entirely, no rebound opportunity, no nothing.

That doesn't make him a bad player. But sometimes, you just have to get the puck on the net. Down 3-1 in the third period...yes, you are a talented player. But just get the puck on net

You think they would entertain that idea? I would assume that would be done only if the organization thought he would be physically overwhelmed in the AHL. I thought the Swedish league he played in was very similar to players found in the AHL. No?

No, they have a good coach with the AHL that will mold him just fine.

And if he shoots it right in to the goalies chest they will complain about that as well. I get your point, but if he saw a spot and just missed, I get that too.

I wonder if we'll see a top pairing of Hagg and Vasiliev next year. It doesn't seem Vasiliev doesn't want to spend another year in the KHL.

Certainly -- there's both ways to look at it. With the flow of that game, with them not getting a ton of shots, I would rather him have just gotten it on the net -- and believe me, I like skill plays, a lot.

But the Devils are just grinding them, and they might need the ugly goal first. JMO

It'd be nice but if he wants to stay an extra year that's fine

A couple -- wasn't as bad as yesterday's game with the Blues/Flyers, but there were a couple of calls that have been questionable

Im still thinking it's photoshopped?

The guy with the Tat is Grabner.

He looks so...skinny when he plays, so fast. Guess the uni hides a lot.
