Should be rowdy on Monday. First game back for Carter. Second game back for Richards. Both teams playing well. It will be another black and blue game. |

I know. Pietrangelo, Shattenkirk and JBo. Such a wealth of talent. Where can we get one of those!?
Edit: I think the one thing holding the Blues back is their lack of a true leading scorer. An offensive guy who can take over a game like Giroux can. Every Stanley Cup team has a forward who just takes over the playoffs. Not sure the Blues have that guy. - PhillySportsGuy
the new guy the blues had back there today was really solid too
Peter Angelo or someone? |

Out all day and just watched the game. Wow. Hitch has the Blues playing like a machine and the Flyers held 'em off. Great game. Mason came up big again. |

Anybody want to fire Homer now? Carter/Richards trades looking better than ever, erasing a big mistake in Bryz, going out and trading for and believing in Mason and getting him locked up, swapping out Lavy for Berube -- apparently seeing the "great hockey mind" many didn't know was there, plucking Raffl off of a second tier euro league, showing patience in not trading the young talent, making a modest deal for AMac... I was concerned that Homer would be driven out of town because people didn't appreciate the work he did before it had a chance to come to fruition. I feared the fanbase and Snider wouldn't have the patience and Hextall would end up getting credit for the team Homer built, but Snider kept the faith and showed the patience needed, which I applaud. The Flyers may not win it all this season, but the progress they've made with their young talented players finding their games and new faces fitting in and becoming a TEAM has been impressive and exactly what I wanted to see.
Also, I was adamant that the D wasn't as bad as many thought...that they weren't these slow, plodding guys with no ability to move the puck...as some pointed to Grossmann and Schenn's supposed inadequacies as scapegoats (b-b-but corsi!), I pointed to the lack of forward puck support in the defensive zone as the primary culprit. Low and behold, now that the support and commitment from the forwards is there, the D looks much better in defending and transition. Who knew? |

We've had our disagreements in the past, but we are on the same page as far as all of the above!

So Morin has 3 goals in 2 playoff games this year, and was a point/game player last year's playoffs. Granted, these are small samples, but it is good to see a prospect elevate his game in the playoffs. |

Coach's Corner highlights:
1. Dump ins. (like the play that resulted in a TO goal)
2. Reimer. Carlyle/little rat reporters. His confidence is completely gone. 2 number one goalies.
3. Paul Ranger. It's not Ranger's fault it's not Killorn's fault. What?
4. Kyle Quincey. Sliding stick block on a Malkin open net. Is the play that will push the Wings into the playoffs.
5. Top prospects/drafts. Connor McDavid.
6. OHL Cup. Crazy that's it not a bigger deal than it is?
7. Wow and Cherry cheers as a young woman fan who gets hammered on the inside part of the glass from a body check!

I think holmer and the rest of the organization falls somewhere in between. Love what Berube has done with these guys, is he the type of coach that will be able to deliver a sustainable message? Time will tell but clearly he is the right coach right now. They are becoming a very good team in front of our eyes. |

The Rangers have name forwards, but don't generate consistent pressure in the offensive zone. They're going to have to win a lot of 2-1 games down the stretch and playoffs to do anything. |

Imagine if Nash was from Russia.
