Get to the room down by one. Regroup.

The effort hasn't been all that bad, they have had chances. Just have to refocus and start winning some more battles and getting some bounces. They are drawing penalties which is good.

the Blues could have had 5 by now.
- FlyerGuy

You really think so?

I think they should have had zero. They're scoring chances haven't really been golden, blown chances. Just your "normal" scoring chances, if that makes sense. I think Mason should have had that first one. Tough to pin the goal on him, but that's a momentum save he's made before that I wish he could have had today.

On the other end, the Flyers hit a post, had a glaring open net that was whiffed on by Streit, had Simmer block a laser by G ticked for the back of the net, and then other "normal" scoring chances, like the one Hartnell had. And the one that JUST happened.

The Flyers have a great PP and if the Blues keep heading to the box, it'll bite them.

I think, if the Flyers keep playing the way they are now, they'll win this game.

How the hell is it a bad game when the first period isn't over yet?

Yup just need to regroup and stay out if the box. And they need to capitalize on the early PP.

they could easily be winning this game. only 1-0. long way to go. and they have miller. i'm not worried
- hammarby31

should be tied game after 1, but i'll take 1-0. need to get better along the boards and getting shots on net. PP did the complete opposite of what its intended to do or otherwise it would be a dif game on the scoreboard

Flyers really need a PP goal
Not a ton of even strength chances today

They got better as that period went along.

Will need to beat the Blues at their own game. Outwork them, and be physical. be careful with the points, Blues are using the well.

Looking forward to seeing Mcginn play Monday night. He's still tied with Downie in goals isn't he?

Yeah, he has.. So far it seems we can't get the puck on next at all.. They looked tentative so far, we need to come out with more effort in the 2nd..

Not a bad period.

Cut down on the odd man rushes, and if the forwards maintain their gaps in the d zone and they'll be fine. I have full faith in this offense against Miller

It's his patented d-zone overload scheme... give up the weak side and the half walls, bum rush everything else in numbers.

The Flyers certainly could have had a couple, but based on the overall play of the two teams I think the Blues easily could have had another couple as well.

Maybe their scoring chances weren't as prime as the Flyers, but just about every time they had the puck there was danger looming.

Flyers are lucky to only be down one.

That's what I see -- it was never going to be easy, but the Flyers got some decent looks at the net.

They're gonna score. I don't how many. The Blues might beat them.

But they're not out of this game, at all.
