i know you were, but i thought, why not, what would reasonably consider as a fair deal? i'm not making any suggestions.
- hammarby31

i honestly cant think of a reasonable suggestion that i would make from a flyers standpoint that doesnt include maatta.

not trying to be a Richard and dismiss the conversation at all haha just being honest.

i wouldnt want to see what hed do with them. hes huge. both for the flys, and in the rivalry.

id say maatta or no dice.

putting my shero hat back on, id offer up pouliot and something else, and promptly be told to (frank) myself

i posted this because of your post.

i don't think he's a fit here. not if he wants to play north of 50 games and be a starter.

Agreed -- he really was bad last night. I respect the guy for building his career and winning cups and trophies, and don't care what he thinks about anything off the ice, but one thing I know for sure, with the Flyers needing two points, I sure was glad that he was not good last night.

can you imagine if Mason had given up that goal that Simmonds scored? especially at that time of the game? This forum would be on page 580 on that topic alone.

Ha! We backed away from the abyss.

The Flyers are on fire right now -- there's no need for me to argue on the boards. I'm trying to be better about that stuff, anyway. There's no reason to argue, at all, when they're winning.

That's a goal that just can't go in, in the NHL. It just can't.

simmonds has worked his way up to being your third most valuable piece i think.

although pouliot, IF he pans, could be absolutely lethal running the show back there with all of your forwards. be the high octane replacement to timonen.

but i cant think of what else you guys would want to add to pouliot that would even get the wheels of possibility turning.

its absolutely ridiculous. giroux, a top 10 playmaking center.

coots, who just for comparisons sake, becomes a player between patrice bergeron and jordan staal. (could be more, could be less, but right now thats not a bad starting point. id argue hes already surpassed staal in a lot of areas, but is a little behind bergeron.)

brayden schenn, who should be a 25 goal, 60 point guy should you find a position and let him own it.

simmonds, as discussed.

voracek, who at worst is a 25 goal winger with playmaking ability.

read.

thats 6 right there. all young and still with room to improve. for the most part, extremely cap friendly as well.

im still of the mind the flyers need one more piece on the back end. even if its not a top level guy, just someone who brings a more mobile skill set to the back end. locking up mcdonald will be big.

phew. long story short, i wish you guys still had richie and carts

- stayinthefnnet

Scheen would be a 25/60 if he had a lw
