While we're at it, screw Michael Bay movies, and any TV show about a small group of people with an "interesting" job.

I can't wait to see him on Girouxs wing. I'm over Hartnell.
- Flyersgod

I'm not. Hartnell is playing very strong Hockey. In the last 20 games he has 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points.

Ahh.. I'd like to see Jake put up more points on the first line. Fear he may hold back Giroux if we don't get the best fit on that line.

Again, good problem to have with our forward depth.

Easier to not research anything and use tired and old rhetoric as a replacement for research.
- Flyersgod

Exactly. Im not saying guys have to watch every game of every team. Thats simply not possible if you want to have a life. I just think its reasonable to ask national media members to gather information on a team before spouting off bullpoop.

According to the media, last year was all Bryz fault. I think most of us would agree that Bryz wasn't great, but the overall team play was not going to get significantly with just a change in goal. They needed other upgrades and a different coaching style.

He is playing decent right now. But he isn't the player I loved years ago. Much more passive now.

Giroux is on a blistering scoring pace right now. I don't think his line mates are holding him back. I'd like to keep everything in place for now. I don't see the top line as a perfect fit, but it's certainly not an issue right now.

I hate reality TV so much. I don't understand why people watch it. These idiots do realize the show is scripted, right? These people are told to do certain things and it just becomes horrible acting.

100% definitely a top six forward.

I feel like some people have an opinion of Simmonds from his time in LA and they haven't updated it.

Agree. It's pretty sad. I don't care if they have a life or not though. The job is what it is.

Once upon a time I was going to school for journalism... My politics came out in class and I was pretty much forced out of the program. To be fair I didn't fight back or try to stay in the program.. so in hindsight it was more me not wanting to fight for anything..

But people must be eating this poop up, because it seems to be like half of all TV programming.

You got kicked out of the program for arguing about politics? Did you punch the teacher? That seems a bit unfair to me.

I like competition baised reality shows, like Survivor and The Challange. I know, I know... The Challange... My wife actually got me watching it, but I like competitions, what can I say. And I also like all the cooking competition shows... Top Chef, the Taste, Cutthroat Kitchen, Iron Chef... I'm huge into cooking.

Its all about money. The 'actors' aren't paid up front. They reap the benefits of the show if it becomes popular. Its much less expensive to make a reality show. Therefore, you don't need as big of an audience to generate a profit.

Thats because its cheap to produce. No actors, just 1 prize, and minimal writing. You cna churn a HUGE profit if the show is sucessful. But for every 1 sucessful reality show there are 40 that fail miserably.

ah beat me to it...

But I do find certain shows like Gold rush interesting and educational.

I don't like the competition shows either. They always exaggerate on everything. How come everyone in a competition always seems to finish JUST as the horn sounds?

This reality TV is so far from actual reality. Thats what people just don't seem to understand.
