I think it's the C grade LA women he gets (which are like B+ grade Philly women).

You know, if 1 million people just gave up on their dreams, LA wouldn't be that bad. The traffic would certainly improve.

Fartsmell - Giroux - Jake
AKESON - B Schenn - Simmer
Richards - Coots - Read
Rinaldo - Laughton - Raffl

I mean, technically, you could put Raffl on that 2nd line, but we need 82 games of Art Ross Akeson.

I believe this is Akeson's last year with the Flyers(Phantoms). I think his contract is up after this season.

We'll never see the true potential...

When Jason Akeson goes on to score 80 goals for someone else next season, you'll see.

I bet he'll sign with some team and put up points while being a -20. Everyone will be like "Homer is such an idiot for letting him walk!!!"

I think Crosby should win the Hart, but that was poorly written.

He has the most points by a lot, plays on one of the best teams and the Pens have had a ton of injuries.

I wouldn't even put G ahead of Getzlaf. I'd put him third.

Hopefully this comical Sixers losing streak spawns Jabari Parker at the draft. Kid just showed he's a total winner!

I don't have a particular problem with Sid Crosby being the MVP, but I don't see anything wrong with a discussion of what being "most valuable" actually means. It's terribly subjective.

Essentially, you can boil Lambert's entire article down to:

1.) Crosby has the most points. By a wide margin.
2.) As such, he should win.
3.) He's also the best player in the game
4.) He should totes get the Hart, you guys.
5.) I don't know why we are having this discussion.

It's a classic case of my opinion is more right than your opinion.

For example, you should have a pretty good idea who deserves the Hart Trophy, awarded annually to the one guy in the league who is the “player judged most valuable to his team.”

I think this says it the most. If you take away Crosby from Pittsburgh, are they still a good team? Do they still finish 1st in the Metro.. IMO yes. If you take Giroux away from the Flyers, they might be a lottery pick team.

Just think about it... Most of Hartnell's and Simmonds points come off the PP... Why.... Giroux. Pk, PP, clutch goals... all Giroux. This team would be just like they were in October when no-one could score because Giroux was still injured... A last place team, worse then Buffalo. You want the true measure of "Most important player to a team" look and Flyers record mixed with Giroux performance and you can see clearly.
