Raffl is better than Nodl at everything
- PhillySportsGuy

Even at having just one vowel. I mean, the 'double f' alone is classic.

Flyers better bring a better game on Saturday then they did tonight.
- MJL

Yup. That 2nd Stars goal was a nice gaffe by Read followed by a fluky bounce past Mason right on Benn's stick. I'm hoping nothing like that happens for the Blues.

Quite a few of us were behind Raffl from the get-go. He's a solid player, and there's no doubt any longer he belongs on the Flyers.
- wolfhounds

I admit I wasn't a Raffl guy at first ... but after watching him closely the last month I realize how hard of a worker he is, and how good he might become.

He hit somebody last night so effing hard -- he's just a man out there. If he had slightly better hands, he'd be borderline unstoppable

Raffl is a much tougher name. Nodl is just a soft name.

Aside from a non-pp goal for Simmonds, which is awesome, and Raffl's goal, my favorite part of the game was the two mountain men comparing beards late in the 3rd.

I'm trying to avoid talking about the Blues...that's a damned scary team

Hitch is such a great coach. Ruff and him use to really go at it behind the benches. Looking forward to Saturday, the Flyers usually do pretty well against Miller, granted the team in front of him is better.

He;s like Rinaldo with skill and great defensive ability. Giroux will have his work cut out.

After they got Read, I trusted their judgement at signing Raffl. They've done alright with the undrafted FAs.

Only the Bruins and Pens have more ROWs than the the Flyers in the East

He's like a dog after a bone...he just never gives up on the puck, something Downie should try.

Downie's definitely playing better, has simplified his game, but quite a few times tonight he watched the play instead of getting in on it.

Saw you guys talking about Gaudreau earlier today.

That kid has a tough decision to make. Go west and sign with a general manager who really doesn't like many small players, or just say "eff it, I better look out for myself here" and go FA.

I don't like that loophole, but for this particular player...I don't know that I'd put my future in Burke's hands, if I was 5-8 and 155 pounds

Saw again when Benn crosschecked him from behind, and he lost it. Real easy to get him off his game. If I'm the Blues, I target him physically. Probably lead to some PP opportunities for them.

I thought the checking from the Stars was very good after the first period. Still, I would have liked the team to get more going to the net. They seemed to be skating and holding the puck too long. Things closed quickly.

He's gone this far, he might as well just choose his destination. Why not just wait another 4 months and pick the team you want.

Im not sure I know any East coast kid who wants to go to Calgary with all things being equal.

I thought the Stars were strong defensively as a team tonight. Really thought that Thomas sucked tonight, and was the biggest reason why the Stars lost the game. Thought they outplayed the Flyers tonight.

i at least wanted a game or two at the end for chemistry purposes. there is an outside chance for letang as well. the pens d is awful right now. they couldnt get it out of their own zone if they were the only ones out there.
