St Joes up by 5 at halftime. I picked UConn to win, but I hope St Joes can pull it out. |

What feed? I'm watching the Philly feed. Government commercials? - Pixote Andolini
I don't watch commercials. Theres enough sports on to switch around. Im an experienced TV watcher though. Not everyone can do what I do and not miss any action. |

I think he likes coming back with Raffl-Couts-Read after the PP because he knows the other team is going to send out their top line. - PhillySportsGuy
Id say that's the most logical explanation, but I'd rather see raffl there and then have the normal downie-cooter-read line out after the power play, raffl has shown he can play with, and compliment, offensive players. |

Slow as dirt.
This is like a batsignal on most nights. Strange. - flyer_nutter
It's because it's a pointless argument.
Is DeSean Jackson faster than Riley Cooper?
Was Pavel Bure faster than Trevor Linden?
Is Duncan Keith faster than Luke Schenn?
Has Vincent Lecavalier lost a step, or two, or three?
When people say that someone is faster than someone else, it's not like it's a death sentence -- and it's ridiculous that just because the Flyers are playing well that all of a sudden, Nicklas Grossmann and Luke Schenn aren't slow anymore, or Adam Hall, or Steve Downie.
This is sports. No player is perfect. Just because we point out that a player is slow, or doesn't pass well, or doesn't have elite hockey sense, is no worse than saying that Claude Giroux is a great player with great hockey sense, or that Scott Hartnell is tough along the boards and in front of the net.
If we can say "Steve Downie has a bad temper and takes bad penalties," then we can say "Nicklas Grossmann is slow."
Just because Grossmann is playing better doesn't mean he's fast. |

Great point. You know that's what makes a player like Matt Read so valuable. I have no doubt that he could play on Giroux's Wing and score 30 goals, and put up more points. But he does so many things well, and it gives the Flyers depth through the lineup.

I like Phil Martelli. I'm a Temple guy, but I cheer for all Big 5 teams. (Less for Nova though) |

malkins one timer is sweet. naturally, they dont use it.
i still remember being on here when malkin and giroux were both slumping asking who was going to finish with more goals. and for some reason i was the only one on here giving giroux a legitimate shot. so there! - stayinthefnnet
Sometimes I think to myself it should be jake feeding G more often, then G makes a crazy pass and those thoughts go away. |

Yeah. He could definitely get 30 with Giroux. I think Raffl and Read are just tremendous grabs by Homer. Both are so versatile. |
