What if the Coyotes won the first overall pick then were moved to Toronto...
- PhillySportsGuy

i would hope that sort of thing would help them stay in phoenix and get a following there

The only thing holding me back from getting involved is not knowing what the format is.

We still haven't really decided the format. We aren't asking for anyones credit card information. We just want to know who would be interested if he did this sort of thing.

I'd be interested depending on the format and how it's done. I think it's going to be difficult to put together a format of player selection to the point where all 30 participants have an equal chance.

its an imperfect system, but would a snake option be met with a lot of resistance?

I think a snake draft would have to be done. Someone also mentioned 20 teams instead of 30. Which may help so we wont be drafting Jay Rosehill and the like in the 28th round.

Can we put the debate of whether the Flyers rushed Couts to rest, yet?

I would really like to cross some of these things off the list.

Exactly.

Snake drafts are fine, but the last pick of the 1st round should get 1st pick of the 2nd and 3rd round. Then a snake draft from that point on.

It's a straight fantasy draft (1-30 1st round, 30-1 2nd round, etc.) where every player is available. Picks will be assigned randomly. We've yet to decide on the exact criteria we'll be grading on. That would be announced prior to the draft.

Also, it's likely there will be no salary cap restrictions, as that would be a lot for most people (including myself) to handle.

a) Goal = win
b) time frame = undetermined.

Basically, there will be some criteria set forth for different categories (who knows, we may even create trophies...for instance, team with best chance to win now gets the Ed Snider award) as to the roster strength. It will take place as soon as we have enough people. It is open to all HB users. We currently only have 12 particpants, so we may go with just 20. Currently, we have:
