Well Coburn-Timonen has got to be Number 1. Since Schenn is playing with MacDonald and MacDonald gets PP time, I would say they are number 2 unit, but since Schenn doesnt play PP then he plays fewer minutes.
- SchennBros

Isn't AMac the third option on the backend on the PP? I would think Kimmo and Streit get more PP ice time than AMac.

A lot of deserving guys with more leadership experience might keep it from him.. Streit (former captain) Lecavalier (former captain).

Also there are guys just as deserving IMO in B.Schenn, M.Read, B.Coburn.

Since Giroux already has the Captaincy and Hartnell already has 1 A, I think the defense needs to be Rep'd. So either Streit or Coburn. IMO Streit with just because of his previous leadership and raport with Refs.

I think so as well, though it could be argued Couts is a 3rd d-man every time he's on the ice.

Does Couts get an A after Timonen hangs em up? Him or Coburn if I'm handing out the letters...

Simmer and Jake were on the list right after Couts and Coburn.

no doubt ... Simmer is not only the next alternate captain for the Flyers, but the guy will have a C on his sweater one day.

Haha 100% serious.

IMO, the letters are just window dressing/feathers in a cap... and I'd prefer to keep as much pressure off the kids (including my favorite Wayne) for as long as possible.

Just bustin' balls after the rehash of the Couts draft in the other thread.

Now give me a brohug. Just keep your hands above the equator.

considering how players move from team-to-team nowadays, I'd say that the chances of BOTH being here in 5 years is pretty darn slim.

I like him better than most. He'll just never be in a position on this team or another to wear a C.

Gotcha.

That makes some sense, especially since it's reasonable to expect most of the young core to be around long after Streit and VL have moved on/retired. I'd still pick Coburn over either of them as he isn't young and he's one of the longest tenured Flyers on the roster.

Is he the longest? Him, Timonen, and/or Hartnell?

why on earth wouldn't he be in a position on another team to wear a C?

edit: unless you mean you don't think the Flyers would ever trade him, and with G here, he has no shot. In which case, I misunderstood your point.
