Not that anyone needs it but here's a quote about Reinhart today
“He’s had a couple wide-open looks on me this year,” marvels Calgary Hitmen goaltender Chris Driedger, “where he’s faked the shot and then gone back-door to a guy. And I mean wide-open looks. Most players — basically all players — take that shot, 10 times out of 10. Guaranteed. But that’s what makes him so dangerous. His unpredictability.

“You’re playing shot, 100 per cent. And he makes the pass.

“He thinks the game so well.

“Sees the ice so well. Anticipates so well. One of those one-step-ahead type guys.

“You’ve always got be aware when he’s out there. One of the smartest players in our league from an offensive standpoint.”
Just a very, very intelligent player,” says Hitmen boss Mike Williamson. “We often talk about certain players making those around him better. Well, that’s what he does. He distributes the puck well. Finds the open man. Even if you pressure him hard, give him very little time and space he’s still able to make plays.

If this panned out, would you rather have:

Moulson-Hodgson-Kane
Stafford- Reinhart-Ennis

or

Moulson-Reinhart-Kane
Stafford-Hodgson-Ennis

or

put Reinhart on the third, have Stewart remain in the top 6 and let Reinhart adjust to the game on the third line with Foligno/Flynn/Girgensens?

Why do people think that Reinhart is gonna be able to stick in the NHL his first year?

Because he'd instantly be the best player on our team.. Maybe not in terms of points right away but I'd bet he'll be in this current teams formation the leading point getter. Plus as the guy above me said a first overall pick always starts in the NHL

Well he isn't a 1st overall pick yet. Grigorenko was in the running for top pick at this time in 2012.

EDIT: I haven't been able to find a 1st overall pick I wouldn't be happy with until like '99 with Patrik Stefan, but I remember thinking how bad I wish the Sabres could have drafted him that year

Even EJ as a number one over Toews or Kessel?

I was going to say that, but he's still a good hockey player, clearly the wrong pick, but he played well his first year, even if it was a year after being drafted. Unfortunate injury issues have held him back but, yea Toews would be nice on St. Louis...

Yeah Eric Johnson is probably the worst first overall pick in the last 10 years plus he's a D-man 1st overall picks who are forwards at least in recent memory have a very strong success rate early on and currently. Cant say the same about the NFL

Seen the Paul ranger hit wow when will players stop turning there backs to coming hit? Ranger looked back 2 times he knew the hitting was coming and choice to turn his back to protect the puck

Ej was a riser and a D-man, risky pick.

Cuse & Mich St. would play in Final 4. Wouldn't play in Finals

Syracuse probably won't even make it through this weekend. They cannot score enough to make a deep run.

I wonder if seeing so few pucks in St. Louis could end up hurting Miller in the playoffs. Finally played a team who got some shots on goal tonight and he ended up giving up 4 and getting yanked.

Did you watch the game ? He got hung out to dry . St Louis was terrible tonight in front of him. Chicago totally outplayed them.

That's my point. He was hung out to dry here so often that he actually played very well facing so many shots. In St. Louis they lock down most teams and he barely faces any shots. It could hurt him in the playoffs where he will end up playing teams like Chicago who can swarm and put pucks on net.

The thing about the playoffs is that they are 7 game series. So he plays one bad game and 4-6 good ones
