Was at the game last night and was a horrible effort on both sides. Definately a go through the motions game on both sides. Calgary is just as bad as we are but I'm not sure their prospects look as good as ours but who knows.

It was a sad night when i picked watchign pitch perfect for the 100th time rather than the Cal/Buf game its gotten so bad.

We left the seats last night after the 2nd and had a couple cocktails in the bar upstairs in the Saddledump. Extremely boring game.

Snows pretty much screwd either way.What if the Islanders end up in the bottom 5 next year with no first round pick ? Of course the wild card here is maybe they trade a player to get that pick back .I wouldn't give up the pick myself.

Thats why I'd prefer the owner making the call. I could see a whole bunch of players wanting out if they pass on the pick this year. JT can go play somewhere else. Why snow made that call in the first place is beyond me. He could have gotten a similar scorer elsewhere rather then even be in this situation to not have a pick this year or next.

I watched the end of the first and about 2/3rds of the second - the goalie looked good until later in the second period from what I saw.

When you have two poor teams playing out there, it is like nothing makes sense. Watching teams that can possess the puck, it is a hell of a lot less chaotic

The only prospect player we have that's close to being a top five pick in value would be Zaderov in my opinion and I don't see that happening.

Heres a scenario for discussion would you;

Draft Ekbald (or whoever they want) 1st overall then trade the rights to NYI for their PK and take BPA whether it be one of the Sam's or whoever Murray likes best?

THis would allow us to get a top 5 pick get a good player as well as make them pick this year and not next.

dont think youd need that much all yoru doing is having them use this years and not next.
Maybe a guy like Larssons or someone they dont have a fit for in the current roster shake up

I think it was the City with Edmonton and I would have to guess that the City of Calgary will help the Flames out as well. I don't agree with that as the City of Edmonton got taken to the woodshed. but whatever.
