Ok.

Hang on here - he didn't give up a goal, did he? I mean, how much better could he have done? Maybe he plays without a stick next time?

I love how Ottawa fans are upset because they say most of the time the refs would have blown the play dead.

Basically they are saying, since the refs are wrong most of the time, it's not fair they finally got it right. Especially against Montreal. Horrible reffing for getting a call right....

I heard the league agrees with this line of thinking and is planning to reverse the call on the ice.

Oh I'm not saying he wasn't good or anything.

But it was Buffalo and the habs didn't give them much chances. He didn't have to be great or anything.

Fair enough. But good for him that he didn't let any in.

Let's say I'm just hoping that he doesn't have to face, say, Toronto or Boston in the next few games.

am not a huge fan of therrien but he has this team higher in the standings than any expert had predicted...except EE.
- Pea-Brain

But that's not true though. The team is that high in the standings because of pure talent and unbelievable goaltending. In fact, all other things being equal, they would be doing better without Therrien's ridiculous player management. Last season, they were one of the best possession teams in the league, and this season, they're one of the worst. Why? Because Therrien went back to his old "dump and chase" ways.

Ottawa lost the game the second it went to OT, and the tying goal was not interferance there was about 5 bodies flying around in front of the net and Lenher was flopping all over like a large mouth bass

he's right about the possession metrics. Montreal is one of the crappiest possession teams in the league and they regularly get outchanced. kind of like Toronto.

thought he was technically sound, and really good. 2-0 against Anaheim and Buffalo. Looked much better than Budaj in both of them.

I do read a lot of Andrew's work, and he makes a lot of good points. I don't agree with everything he says, though.

However, on this subject, he and I are on the same page. Surely you don't think that the vast majority of the players on the team forgot how to play good puck possession hockey, do you?

All I want to know is why he turned his back to the puck. He was in perfect position to jump right, but he turned, faced his net and jumped left.

I look at it over and over, I just don't get it.

It's (frank)ing hilarious....

its true he was unintentionally bumped but he was back on his feet in good shape to make a save but decided to do an asscracker instead

I'm thinking that last season was a mirage and the habs somehow went on a long-ass hot streak. Eventually, reality catch up with them and we saw what happened in the playoffs.

They're not a very good team, nor a highly talented one. But somehow, they manage to win more games than they lose. Which in itself is a mystery.
