PP on fresh ice to start the 2nd... As horrible as the Pens have been the first 15 minutes, they have a chance to get back into this game on a silver platter.

If the Pens end up winning this game, Fleury should get one of the stars if the game.

- rival22

The problem with that is that the Penguins PP has been atrocious vs the Flyers. They were lucky to not give up 2-3 shorty's while barely getting a sniff at the net themselves.

After seeing so many of these disaster performances, I still don't know who/what is to blame... Make up of the team? Strategy? Mentality of their key players? I have no idea...
- rival22

I'm not going to make too many judgments based on two meaningless games where were missing half our guys, but there's no doubt they can be mentally weak at times.

I don't care what anybody says, this is not a well coached team. They are rarely ever disciplined when things get tough.....and that falls on the coach.

Not on the fire Bylsma wagon, but his response to Pierre asking if the Pens are a skill team or a physical team was very troubling. Would have liked to hear him say some of both, but "we're a grinding team"??? Nothing from nothing, but the grinders the Pens have for the most part just suck, and when the talented ones grind, they take stupid penalties and get taken off their game. Not what I want to hear at all.

Wow they called 1 of 8 interferences!!!

I hope the Pens take note Rinaldo is running at Malkins head!!! Have Bortuzzo and the boys do the same. End Giroux and the Flyers season on the same hit.

For the sake of the Pens i hope they don't think that way because it hasn't worked out too well for them.

As a Flyers fan I hope the Pens try and play that way because the power play will eat them up.

Look the Pens are a lock for the playoffs!!! I have NO PROBLEM losing 2 points and sending a message. You can score 10!!!

I think that injuries and our guys playing in the Olympics just have us worn down. Not to mention coming back to a West Coast swing and the # of games played in the timeframe since. We just look tired and listless.

None of that means you come out and play this bad. You still have to have heart. And right now we seem to think heart means taking stupid retaliatory penalties.

As a Pens fan I go back again to really thinking your team should stop worrying about running around sending messages vs actually trying to beat the Flyers.

Wouldn't mind seeing Goc with Malkin. Glass with Sid and stemp is much better than gibbons with them

I have no idea why they get off their game every time. Oh wait, thats what they tried to do with the bruins last yr. I have seen this movie. It doesnt end well. So its not about injuries as they did this last yr too. They should know their strengths this far down the path.

Dear coach bylsma, channel your inner herb brooks. Please repeat "play your game".

Not a bad cycle on that PP. Could use a bit better zone entry but not bad.

Malkin has been. That goal isn't possible without his handling going into the neutral zone the way he did.
