That last goal was such a killer. Pretty much an unforced turnover that turned into a 2v1.

Brutal turnover by Raffl. And Scranton Wilkes Barre scores on the 2-1
- PLindbergh31

I saw that and was like (frank). Timo should of just taken a man instead of laying down but it is what it is.

amazing how the refs can change the flow of a game by calling alot on 1 team and nothing on the other. a couple of those non calls were the "they call that every time" ones only they didn't

Yep. Still a lead heading into the third period. 20 minutes away from a 4 point weekend.

I dunno.. I think we all kind of expect this during a Penguins game in Pittsburgh on National Television.

Give the Flyers a bunch of power plays early... then slowly let the pens work their way back into the game. Call more penalties if needed on the Flyers to get some momentum back on the Pens side.

I see hockey as a sport where the NHL trys to create story lines within every game to increase the popularity of the sport or whatever nonsense they think up.

Not a conspiracy theory guy, but it's one that I can't seem to shake.

And with studs like Gibbons, and Megna coming at you, it's got to be a helpless feeling.

They are letting them play. Letting the Penguins play that is. It's only fair since the Pens are the face of the NHL and the Flyers are a black eye for the game.

coburn. and he's had such a strong outing yesterday and today, too.

i don't think i've ever seen timonen actually block the cross ice pass in a 2 on 1. he always goes down to early and never gets the puck on the desperation sweep check. i don't know why he doesn't just stay on his feet and block the lane. let mason take the shooter.

Flyers beat Pittsburgh 4-0 yesterday. And are leading today's game 4-3 going into the 3rd. And the Flyers have been the better team in both games to this point.

So my question is, is there anything positive going on for the Flyers out there?

Yeah a bunch of even strength shifts by the Pens to close out the 2nd where they were simply dominating. As great as the Flyers special teams have been they're still only up by one goal.

They can still play hockey better than 99.9% of hockey players alive today.

2 guys that good on a 2-1 "should" still be a goal.

Now, a backup goalie is a bit of a different story.

That's right.. Emrick and Pierre sad when we score, but dance around like pixies when the Pens score.

The shooter had no angle either. Meh timonen did what he thought was best. Can't fault him for trying.

I'd be furious if I was a Sens fan.. Completely covered for several seconds... you can't allow them to just slash away at the tenders pads until it comes out.

McDonald better watch it with those reverse clears along the boards. Every one of them is being read and picked up by the opposing team.

Its amazing how little the games against the Pens mean. Whether the Flyers win by 5 or lose by 5, it does not matter one bit for the big picture for either. Because the kind of games these 2 teams play when facing off against each other - well that's not going to happen against anyone else.

yes, there is. if they don't bear down and play smart, simple hockey the way they did yesterday, they will blow this game. can't let that happen.

Don't think that the 2 points yesterday, and the two points on the line today mean anything for the Flyers?

it's an aspect of his game in which i don't think he's very good. we've seen that exact play many times before with the same result.
