My god, I grew to love those weekend afternoon games.

Get it over by 3, and have the rest of the day/night to do whatever.

Yeah. Better to feel the sting of defeat whilst the sun is still shining.

Yes but why let that stop anyone from dragging it across the floor, kicking and screaming all the way.

I've learned a long time ago not to place too much stock in scouting reports. I trust the Flyers staff because, well, I have other choice but to, but also because they have a pretty good track record with their first rounders. So, I really don't get upset when they go in another direction that I believe, based on the various online reports, that they should go in.

With Laughlin, like any other draft selection, it's usually at least a 3-5 year wait-and-see to begin to determine whether the pick was the right one. This is not to say that he was the BPA, but I believe he was the BPA on the Flyers' board at the time, and with that, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. And if he happens to turn out to be the next Doug Gilmore, that'll be fine with me regardless of who they passed up.

Same with Morin. Time will tell. Patience, grasshopper. Until then...

Guys lets face it. Trying to predict how a 17 or 18 year old child, who is playing against other children, is going to develop as an adult pro is never going to be an exact science.

That being said, the Flyers have done pretty well with their 1st rounders in recent years and to judge if Morin was a good pick at this point in his career is just moronic.

Why does rooting for Vancouver feel so hopeless?
I'm so desperate for hockey I'll watch the caps play.

How did you think it was going to turn out? I just watched that hit again and its brutal and totally uncalled for. We were winning 7-2 when it happened.

Watching Vancouver play is definitely depressing. Ever since they lost in the conference finals they have gotten sadder each year. Whats worse for them is that they lost the primes of their best players and are now going into a massive rebuild.

God I hate them though

If there was no stupid black outs, I'd buy gamecenter in a heartbeat. It's a great product, even with it's bugs.

Holmgren could have traded him for Sergei Gonchar.
