Thanks for the link. I don't totally believe Freidman's statement that the owners didn't veto the Kesler deal to Anaheim because something happened at the very last minute. Maybe Gillis did get cold feet and decided that the offers would be better at the draft. I guess it doesn't matter now.

Anaheim was REALLY into this and had the best offer out of any team and they merit one sentence in your tell-all about Kesler.

Suddenly many in the Canadian media were taking what I considered to be potshots at Ryan Kesler's character. Suddenly it was reported that Kesler would only play for an American team. To me, this seemed ridiculous given the man's own son was born in Canada and given his captaincy with a Canadian team for years. I asked quite a few people if they thought this was true.
