I don't see any problems, whatsoever, with bringing a 3 year old to a hockey game.
- SpoiledByOil

I think he meant with the shat you hear at Ranger/Islander games is far different then what you would hear in just about any other games. I won't bring my 5 yr old to a ranger/islander game. Fights and cursing from the drop of the puck until the end. Trust me watching it on TV and not seeing or hearing what is being in person is a huge difference. Its not my place to tell another parent what to do but like I said I won't bring my kid until he is older but that is just me

You've never been to an Islander Ranger game.

I don't see how it can be much different than a Oiler Flame game.

New Yorkers are known to get a little crazy during sports games, combine that with alcohol and craziness break loose.

I'm sure there are some parents who won't bring their young kids to those games either.

Good move Tavares. No need for that crap!
I took my 3 year old to the coliseum and he had to listen to fans calling Lundqvist the "C" word that ladies hate and fans saying behind us "hey kid, your still young, you can switch teams" making him uncomfortable. Is what it is. We'll stick to the Garden.
It happens everywhere! That's my only point.

this is bullsht... yes b/c all the Ranger fans SCREAMING at the top of their lungs that whatever goalie we are cheering for "Sucks" in our own building is soo mature. I have never been to one game in the NVMC against the Rangers where the Rangers fans did not scream the whole game. During the Anthem, when either team scores... Just stop. 1. you should not take a 3 year old to THAT game. 2. NVMC is one of the most fan and kid friendly places to see hockey.. they have mascots at almost every game. 3. Ranger fans are one of the worst fan base in the league. ... lastly: you are a troll.. go away.

I have Season tickets to the islanders since 1998. I took my 6 year old son this year to an Islander/Ranger game for the first time. I left after 2 periods. The moron behind me was screaming at the top of his lungs "This is our effin house" b/c the Rangers just tied the score.

Wow. Nice story. Always thought Tavares was a bit of a dink, but this is very nice to hear and went up in my books. Good on him! Hopefully Winnipeg finds the fans who harassed a kid and take away ticket privileges for awhile. Nothing wrong with a little fun banter with a young fan, but of course there is a limit. Sounds like Winnipeg fans went well over it.

I cant stand when ranger fans come to their one game a year at the coli and act like its their building. Shut the frank up and have some respect.

Half of those LI ranger fans don't even watch hockey. they go for the cheap tickets and put on their Callahan jerseys from models. The last few games I went Isles vs rangers I had some conversation with some ranger fans, pretty cool guys but many of them said that hockey is like a third wheel to them after baseball and basketball.

There is usually one brawl per section at least, usually multiple. Not as bad they were in 80's and 90's but still not a place I'd bring a kid. Besides if i thought for a second that was a serious post or story from that guy I wouldn't have replied to it. He's a troll and that story was pure fabrication.

Most important part of your post. We all know his post was purely another lame ass troll attempt. If I thought it were serious for a second I would've never replied no matter what my opinion.

Huh? The guy is a moron because he doesn't feel comfortable bringing a young child to a Rangers/Islanders game were the fans are out of control cursing and fighting but mostly cursing and acting like idiots? Yeah what a moron for not wanting his kid to be around white trash
