Snow doesn't really bother me but this has been by far the worst winter from a temperature standpoint. 10 days at a time below 10 degrees. Just brutal.
- Ryan_Wilson

yeah true. the wind always literally and figuratively chaps my ass. temps in philly have averaged like 20 below the average. its too late in the year for teens in the days and singles at night.

The roads around here are (frank)ing horrendous at this point. The snow and ice have been bad, but the temperatures have made it a nightmare.

Yessir, I'm out in the 'burbs (I just realized my location doesn't list anything useful). I've never seen the roads this bad before, they're torn to shreds. I've already popped a tire, and frankly I feel lucky that's the extent of the damage so far.

yeah man its brutal. even when they "fix" them, theyre just laying in loose gravel to fill the slot. it doesnt last long.

Yeah, not even close to ideal. Still, I appreciate that anything has been done. I don't think a permanent fix is possible/sensible until the winter is actually over (if it ever does end). uuuuuugh

It sounds like you fella's are talking about Alberta roads. We have two road conditions. Winter roads, and construction attempting to repair the roads from winter.

oh yeah i understand why. with constant freezing and expanding and the threat of needing to use more salt, it wouldnt make a lot of sense to attempt a permanent fix.

All the morons that realized they'll get home quicker than usual if the play kept going. Can't stand the CEC half the time. Always leaving early and it's quieter than a church most of the time too.

I don't leave early, but I hate the 7:30pm starts. So yeah, I was kinda happy the game is moving quick.

Not so much. I'm not one of the Canadians that believe that because Florida and Georgia never see snow (normally) that place in the Northern states don't either.

I honestly felt bad for the people of Atlanta. I was reading an interview with a transplanted Canadian and he was talking about how intense the city of Atlanta was during that stretch.

I've done my fair share of laughing at Georgia and Texas for being crippled by an inch of snow. Being fair, though, why would they already have the resources to deal with that? It's an extraordinary situation for them. I mean, it's not like we prepare yearly for earthquakes or volcanoes, right?

Good on you. Many don't stay. I agree about the delayed starts. I prefer 7 for sure. Not too big of a deal compared to 8 or even 10 though.
