No. That is a jersey card. The patch is from a patch (the crest or the shoulder, the thicker part) and was #'d to 50 per player. They're also clear acetate. Very nice looking cards. I bought a box of the stuff in San Diego after getting out of cards, and pulled a Talbot that had 4 colors (Pen's winter classic jersey) and got hooked back for a few years. That set and my Hextall mini-collection are all I want now and then I'm done.

Are you going to sew them all together Buffalo Match?

Oh, you'd like that wouldn't you. I'd be like the guy who buys a $2000 Misfits album and then melts it down to make a leather jacket.

As a said before, the Flyers brain trust of Holmgren/Berube is guys who have been punched in the head a couple thousand times. With an 80+ year old hands on owner. Not exactly the ideal situation.

But although I disagree with things Berube has done thus far, it's hard to argue with the results. Hopefully it's not fools gold.

In most sports, the best coaches are role players. The best players, often, struggle communicating because things that came naturally to them don't come naturally to others.

This isn't ALWAYS the case, so please don't give me examples.

I stand corrected. Still, a hefty price to pay for crossing water.

If NJ is "yucky" then what do you call that overcrowded city that's got the dirtiest sidewalks and worst smells in the country (that being NYC)?

You could awlays caulk the wagon and float it or attempt to ford the river (i.e. march your oxen to a watery grave).

4 Dollars for Delaware Memorial Bridge.... but at least I didn't have to wait on top of it for an hour, with a guy in an SUV smoking pot right next to me and my mother....

I don't think ex-players should be considered for GM positions at all... it's time to break up the old boys' club. Sure, bring them in as assistants, or consultants, since they understand the culture and fabric of the game... but the guy making the top-level decisions should by versed in legalese, risk-management, negotiation, and have strong analytical skills.

No need to cite examples. I agree what you are saying here. Berube has done a nice job as coach. Coaches are judged by one thing, wins and losses.

Executives/GM's is a whole different ball game.

I always started in May, I always bought the max amount of bullets ('MERICA!), I always attempted to ford the river, and I cut everyone's rations to bare bones. 2 people sometimes made it.

I feel like Berube is held back by the overall lineup. I'm sure he'd like to do more, but they don't really have the make up.

He'd punch the lineup if he could have it manifest as a single entity. He punches well. Chief knows punchin.

Did anybody buy clothes in that game? I never saw the point.
