The d seem to be holding the line better tonight then any other game I recall this year. And it seems like Schenn is jumping in the play a lot more with AMac now here

Andy Macdonald is a legit nhl player

Too bad we didn't have him for his $600,000 seasons

Still I'm psyched
He moves the puck

- Marc D

He's good. Makes nice little plays in his own zone. Not sure why his Corsi numbers are so bad. He seems to handle himself pretty well out there.

I imagine his numbers will look a lot better in limited action against lesser competition.

The Devils are just so good as a team defensively. They really haven't made a single mistake all game. Flyers came back that period and matched the Devils at their game. Starting winning battles, and matching the Devils work ethic. Although when Nick Grossmann is your best offensive player, might be an issue.

Exactly. He's in a much better role here for him. He's a solid player.

mcdonald is a really nice little player. not a stud, but he can contribute a little of everything. i still think youll push 5 mil to keep him. but thats the markets problem, not his. i think he is a great second pairing defenseman.

A lot of time. He scored and then toe dragged for a nice shot. It's finally coming around, and he's on fire!

Agreed. I'm thinking 4.5 is a good number.

Im not opposed to overpaying. I'd hope he'd take a little less in order to get locked up prior to FA. Unlikely though. How much do you think Niskanen will run?

Hes their best defenseman i think haha. At least the most well rounded. Islanders fans are funny, thinking its great to finally rid themselves of guys like that

I was thinking of bumping it to 6.5, but I don't think he's in the class of Dmen with 6.5 mil cap hits.

But, inflation is a thing.

Someone's gonna pay though that's for sure.

i could see that, if the term is fairly decent in length. breaking 5 wouldnt shock me though. the market is atrocious. but 4.5 is a fine cap number. i would be happy as a flyers fan with that number.

niskanen is breaking 5 per without question. whatever explanation people would like to provide, he has points. and they will equal dollars.

I could see AMac signing up for a 5/25 deal or thereabouts. I'd be fine with that

I freely admit that it could be more. 4.5 is what I'm hoping for.
