yeah. similar to what paulmart got a few years back. martin is a similarly molded but slightly better player, but inflation the past few years has likely bridged that gap.

i mean after a certain point i dont think they have a choice in the matter. without question he has the ability to price himself out of a feasible range for them. malkin's raise is pretty scant, but next year letang's new deal kicks in. even if they let orpik go, that money right there is sucked up by letang.
