Sure it is. Instead of being Mr. Embassador during an interview he can be himself. I think he believes what Buttman and the media has drilled into his head that he is as important as the game itself. All he has to do is be real, and the media love fest will go away. He will just become another "star" player like Stamkos, or Ovechkin. - SchennBros
if he was "himself" instead of trying to put forth the best platitude spouting ambassador self from time to time, he would be crucified for that as well. its a no win situation when the spotlight is that bright. |

I like him. Fits the Flyers mold too. - PhillySportsGuy
Flyers drafted his brother. Similar wheels although Adrian is even faster, but Adrian is the better pure offensive talent than Mario.

Rinaldo has an upper-body injury and is day-to-day. VandeVelde will start in his place.
What was weird was when VandeVelde recalled today, Holmgren texted that there were no injuries to report and he was just here as an extra body after trade deadline.
Fifteen minutes later, Berube said Rinaldo is out. Ordinarily, he'll say something like "he has a little upper-body issue but nothing serious -- Homer can fill you in on the rest." This time he said, "I'll just let Paul handle it. Ask him."
So no we're wondering what the hell is going on. Ten minutes after that, Holmgren texts that Rinaldo has the UBI and VandeVelde is replacing him.
Not sure what the big secret was about, but it is what it is. |

I like what I read about him. Several connections to the Flyers. Obviously, his brother was drafted by them and he's played several games with Hagg. |

No longer have his rights. Believe he was drafted in 2007.

I've seen Adrian play about a half dozen times. Was more impressed by him than the previously higher touted William Nylander (Michael's son). Adrian has big time wheels and can finish. Also is competitor.

Yes, and Mario has significant plus-speed in his own right. But his younger brother has the better hands. |

Hockey's future writeup:
Kempe is a playmaking forward with both physical and technical weapons that he uses on both offense and defense. Not only is he a great passer and puckhandler, but his shot is also fairly lethal and a nightmare for most goaltenders. Kempe is in a good position most of the time and is effective during a penalty kill. On the other side, he should work on his skating and discipline as he is prone to taking too many unnecessary penalties.
Sounds like A flyer type player to me. |

I think there's less public ways of doing so than the he-said she-said game they just played. |
