starting to think going for Vanek wasn't worth it.
- stinger67

For what you guys paid for him not sure how you could think that. You weren't the guys who shilled a top-5 pick and a 30 goal man for him.

He's playing like a guy who is fed up of his coach. Him and his agent plan to sign a big offer sheet with Philly that way they dictate what he wants. Of course Montreal will match cause the alternative will be 5 #1 picks.

Yes...the coach, the coach is obviously the problem here.

it could be that he knows he's on the verge of a massive payday regardless and is just naturally tentative so as to avoid any calamitous injury.

i don't understand why, when it comes to Therrien, it has to be all or nothing. some think he's the sole reason this team sucks, while others think he's infallible and no coach in the history of hockey could be doing better. can't it be in the middle? yes, this roster is lacking. yes, it's virtually impossible to win regularly with Peter Budaj as your goalie. but come on. Therrien isn't exactly doing a bang up job this year. and for everyone who points to Montreal's record, i think it's been proven at this point that Montreal is where it is because of Carey Price.

Exactly. He does not have the players to play his style for 82 games.....plus playoffs. This team relies on Price to save them. "We are a grinding team. Accept it!".

Yep part of it. He will show up in the playoffs if they make it.
