Thoughts on the game. Eller, Galchenyuk, Vanek had solid first periods. Or at least they were the stand-outs to me in an overall good first. Sadly, coaching staff could not try them together... Eller disappeared after first though. Big time.

If I'm Therrien and I hear Gionta's post-game comment, I'm sitting him down and chatting with him. Seriously.

Desharnais played like he usually does vs. Boston. The equivalent to a Zamboni as soon as someone is anywhere near him.

Emelin is really struggling. Tinordi was off tonight also. Personally, I'm willing to live with it in both cases (for now). Better than a Weaver.
