Because of the distinct society? - hscesq
I seriously have no idea why they don't calculate it the same way. Maybe they use the same system that France uses?
All I know is that the way it's done in Québec is not advantageous when you compare it with the way it's done in the ROC.
I'm trying to find the article where I read that, I think it's on my desktop's bookmarks. |

The man hasn't put together a coherent sentence in years, in fact he has a hard time even finishing his incoherent sentences.
While Don and his agent will likely be thrilled that you and some others think it's a "shtick", I doubt very much that this is the case.

My wife's family knows the Cherry family very well. It's 100% a schtick. |

Wonder what happens with the other distinct societies in this wondrous new country. ie Indigenous people of Quebec who believe the land and resources of Quebec actually belong to them. |

violence is never the answer, they should have sat down and discussed their differences to find a solution. - Symba007
Agreed. Violence isn't the answer, it's the question. "YES" is the answer. |

I'm going out on a limb here and suggesting that Quebec has never heard of GAAP. |

The rating companies are aware it is not realistic, but if Québec ever went bankrupt, it is not as much of a risk because if we were deep into debts, we could always sell HQ for a huge influx of money. That's why many Financial specialists and other economical specialists are not worried about the debt.
It's bigger in terms of % of PIB compared to the other provinces, but it's growing at pretty much the same rate as the other ones. Also, the debt is not calculated the same way in QC and in the ROC. - Jean_Perron
hence why our debt is easily solvable considering the assets owned by the province.

Francophone Quebec could be a very small country after the natives are finished claiming what they believe is theirs. |

Well..... after 20 some years, the Mrs decided she wants to get a divorce.
2 kids, a house, a cottage, 2 cars, 4 tv, a swimming pool and a jacuzzi, a 400K morgage, 3 loaded credit cards...
I will obviously take my share of the debt, but she will keep all of the assets.
Sounds fair or should I hire a better lawyer? |

I've already tried explaining this to him, he doesn't understand, or chooses not to understand I'm not sure which. |

You should hire Howard, I've heard he gives a HB discount to fellow buzzers.
