Oh me too. But that was a very clean hit.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Eller needs to wake the (frank) up.

It was shoulder on shoulder. As for waking up, let's see if the Gallagher effect can work its magic.

Oh no. Not this one. This one is classic beyond words.

Well, the government COULD sell Hydro-Québec and get an immediate ~$125B (even though it would lose the annual dividend) and other entities and get some immediate cash. It would still be completely idiotic and would just be an excuse not to start doing some sound budgeting.

The new owner would fire about 50% of the HQ staff, raise electricity rates and the Qc Gov would lose an important source of revenue. Fantastic

Yeah. I guess that was what I was trying to say, while using as few words as possible. Not realistic.

The rating companies are aware it is not realistic, but if Québec ever went bankrupt, it is not as much of a risk because if we were deep into debts, we could always sell HQ for a huge influx of money. That's why many Financial specialists and other economical specialists are not worried about the debt.

It's bigger in terms of % of PIB compared to the other provinces, but it's growing at pretty much the same rate as the other ones. Also, the debt is not calculated the same way in QC and in the ROC.

Here they probably do like Kevin in The Office and add a made up number that magically balances everything.

"The kelvin gets you home by seven."
