This warrants your number being retired all on it's on.

I can't stand how all skaters are taught to play goalie on every freakin' shot... if Rinaldo closes the gap on Gardiner there, chances are the shot deflects off his stick into the crowd.

It's a pretty common skill to lay down to block a shot. I have no issue if he woulda tried to rush Gardiner, but he didn't.

My First Period Thoughts -

If Rinaldo lays down or kneels down he blocks the first goal.

Schenn back checks like the defensive minded forward some claim he is (a younger Kesler they say) and that 2nd goal never happens.

Our defense is very weak when teams get speed and drive wide around them.

The ice looks terrible. I'd imagine better ice playing in Canada.

Nice o-zone time. Need someone driving the net though. Toronto looks a ton better attacking the net.

Hartnell is holding Giroux back, IMO.

Funny how the announcers rag on coots for having to sell the elbow. Refs rarely call anything unless you sell it. Part of the game. That call on Simmonds was terrible.

Our 4th line has gone back to being terrible again. I don't understand how they don't have anything better in the AHL than what they have on this roster.

He lays down, Gardiner just changes the angle and has a wide open lane.

Think what you want.

I want my 4th liners putting their faces in front of pucks if need be.

They do. Not sure why they don't use call ups.

I think they blew the whistle. Strange that the center ice official blew it dead.

the ref at center ice should never be allowed to call that dead. lost site of the puck? no poop, how often can the ref in center ice tell its covered or not?

guy 2 feet away isn't blowing the whistle, the guy at center ice shouldn't be either

cost them a goal
