Mason's deal is fair. Not much to complain about from a fan's perspective not hat one IMO |

Exactly. Flyers approach all their 'good soldiers' with open-hands.
And don't forget... piss Brayden off, and now you've pissed Luke off too. - Tomahawk
They just need to get a few forwards to fight their battles for them and accept their 2-game ban. No biggie. |

God, Coots must be kicking his agent right now. - Tomahawk
Speaking of Couturier, that beard he's sporting these days should win a post season award or something.
If the Flyers make a playoff run, he'll look like Billy Gibbons. |

Always found it fascinating that the only member of ZZ Top not to have a beard was Frank Beard. |

Selective reporting. "Collberg has a D rate of success" leaves out his 8.0 potential.
It would have taken Ghost and a 2nd to get Vanek and two 2nds to get Moulson. The team could have been without 2nd round picks for the next 3 years for a rental player who they will not be re-signing. |

One big injury to the Flyers starting 6 dmen and Gustafsson could have a chance at playing long term and proving his worth. |

Where do you fit the new shiny forward with your existing forwards?
Who, by the way, have (mostly) been playing pretty well.
Shiny, rental forward was (rightfully) not high on Paul Holmgren's shopping list. |

Definitely. Gill would be an ideal replacement if Grossmann went down. If Timonen or Streit go down I think it'd be a no-brainer to hand the baton to Gusty. |

Its one of the reasons the Flyers have such a good reputation around the league though. They are a players' franchise. Every player who comes here always talks about how they have such a first class organization and the good things they hear from former players. - PhillySportsGuy

I take the positive from the article...which is they have a game plan and a core and they are sticking with it...We cant say they should make knee jerk trades, when making knee jerk trades cost them a barren farm system...Also,if the 20 or so teams did adjust to the market then the market is a sellers market...that the difference between sellers market and buyers market...whether teams will bid each other up |

Snow said the Habs offer was the best and that he was fortunate to get that good of an offer. That shows several teams aren't interested in paying a premium for rentals. Homer never does. THey have every intention of signing MacDonald long term.
This team isn't a LW away from the Cup. If they win, it will be because their defense really steps up, Mason plays incredible and Giroux gets really hot. It won't be because Vanek or Moulson carry them. |
